Tripura JEE 2023 Seat Matrix

Seat matrix defines the number of seats in each course. The seat matrix also defines the number of seats given for reserved and unreserved candidates. The Tripura JEE 2023 seat matrix defines the number of seats in a particular course in a particular college.

The seat matrix also defines the number of seats defined in each course for the various categories. The different reservation categories in the Tripura seat matrix are as follows:

  1. ST (Scheduled Tribe)
  2. SC (Scheduled Caste)
  3. Ex-servicemen
  4. Physically Handicapped

The PH category candidates have 3 % horizontal reservation on the seats. Ex-servicemen reservation is applied to all the courses, therefore we have1 seat reserved in each course under ex-servicemen quota.

Tripura JEE 2023 Seat Allotment Process

The candidates will be called for Tripura JEE 2023 seat allotment process according to the process defined below:

  1. Candidates will be called separately from the PCM and PCB list for the seat allotment process. The candidates will be called according to the Tripura JEE 2023 merit list. There are 4 lists as of now common merit list 1, common merit list 2, common merit list 3, and common merit list 4. More lists can be added depending on the availability of seats and participants.
  2. The general category candidates can opt for any seat from the pool of seats available for the unreserved category candidates. The allotment will be finalized only on the basis of a decision given by the Tripura JEE 2023 committee.
  3. For SC/ST category students the selection will be done on the basis of following Tripura JEE 2023  criteria:
  • In case an SC/ST candidate opts for a seat which is coming up for UR (Unreserved/General) category then the seat will be granted to the SC/ST candidates. However, that 1 seat will be deducted from UR category seats and no seats are lost from reserved category seats. The eligibility criterion has to be fulfilled by the reserved category candidate in such case.
  • If a candidate of SC/ST category opts for a seat in a course of his choice, from the pool of seats reserved for UR category, then the seat in such a case is deducted from the UR category only if the candidate is getting the course of his choice in the institute of his choice. If the course is of choice and the college is different from his choice then the seat is deducted from the reserved category seats. Also, the candidate (SC/ST) will be getting the seat on the basis of his merit rank and not on the basis of reservation category rank. Thus, the candidate (SC/ST) has to fulfil all the eligibility criteria in such case for that particular seat. The decision of the Tripura JEE exam board will be final.
  • In case of MBBS course, the SC/ST candidate will be allowed to choose a seat from the pool of seats available for both reserved and unreserved category. If a candidate chooses a seat from UR category he/she will be given a seat on the basis of Tripura JEE rank 2023. In such case, he/she will be counted as the general category candidate. If he/she does not fulfil the Tripura JEE 2023  eligibility criteria defined for general category candidates then he/she will not be given the seat. If the seat is granted after all the criteria have been fulfilled then a seat will be deducted from the UR category seats.
  • In any course, the SC/ST candidate can choose a seat from the UR or reserved category seats. If the UR seats are exhausted, the SC/ST candidate can opt for a seat from the reserved category seats. In this case, the seat is deducted from the pool of seats available for SC/ST candidates. The Tripura JEE 2023 eligibility criteria have to be fulfilled for both the reserved and unreserved seats.
