UPCET 2022 Counselling (UPTAC): Step-wise Procedure 

UPCET 2022 Counselling (UPTAC) is conducted based on JEE Main/ NATA/ CUET scores and courses chosen by the candidate. However, candidates who have appeared for other entrance tests are eligible to apply for UPCET Counselling to be eligible for admission to colleges in Uttar Pradesh. UPCET Counselling for each of the courses offered is based on: 

UPCET 2022 Counselling Process

• Step 1 – Registration, Document uploading & Payment of counselling fee
• Step 2 – Document Verification: Online Verification of Uploaded Documents by Central Document Verification Team (conducted in every round for freshly applied candidates except for B.Arch candidates who can register only in Round 1)
• Step 3 – Choice Filling by Verified and Fresh Candidates
• Step 4 – Declaration of UPCET Seat Allotment
• Step 5 – Seat Acceptance by Payment of Acceptance Fee (Freeze /Float R1 and R2, Auto Freeze R3)
• Step 6 – Physical Reporting at the college (at the end of the third round by all candidates allotted seats)

Step 1– UPCET Counselling Registration, Document Uploading & Payment of Registration Fee 

Candidates will have to register by using their UPCET 2022 application number and password. Once registered, candidates will be required to pay Rs 1000 (non-refundable) in online mode via debit card/ credit card or net banking. They are also required to upload the requisite documents as specified.

Step 2– Document Verification

Candidates will have to upload the necessary documents and get them verified. The file size must be 200 KB while uploading. The list of documents has been discussed above. Upon successful Verification of the Documents, an SMS/email will be sent to the Candidate. Once the verification has been concluded the Candidate can fill Choices of Institutions & Branches as per his/her eligibility. 

Step 3- Choice Filling by Verified and Fresh Candidates

Candidates will have to fill in their choice of colleges and courses in the order of their priority during choice filling. It is advised that candidates must fill as many choices as possible. 

Step 4– Declaration of UPCET Seat Allotment Result

On the basis of choice filling, merit list and availability of seats, candidates will be awarded a seat to their respective program through UPCET 2022 Seat Allotment. Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment result online using their login credentails.

Step 5 – Seat Acceptance by Payment of Acceptance Fee

In this step, candidates will have to select three options to confirm seat allotment -  Freeze, Float and Withdrawal. 

• Freeze – Candidates can choose to freeze their seat allotted if they are satisfied.
• Float – Candidates can hold on to the seat allotted and ask for upgradation in this case.
• Withdrawal – Candidates can leave the seat allotted and can choose to not participate in the further admission procedure.

To confirm their seat, candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee. Candidates who do not accept the Seat by paying the acceptance fee will be treated as exit from UPCET Counselling and will not be allowed to participate in any further round of counselling. The table below shows the seat acceptance fee for each category:

Step 6 - Physical Reporting at the Allotted Institute

After all the three rounds of UPCET Counselling 2022 are concluded, all candidates who have been allotted seats, upgraded or otherwise must report to the allotted college with their documents to complete their admission formalities.

UPCET Spot Counselling 2022

UPCET Spot Counselling is conducted when seats remain vacant even after the last round of counselling. It is conducted in Offline mode where candidates have to report at the venue all with the required documents and a demand draft in favor of Finance Officer, AKTU Payable at Lucknow. At UPCET Counselling Venue, candidate’s document verification is done, post which they are allotted seats in various courses on the basis of their ranks secured in the entrance examination. 

UPCET Spot Counselling 2022: Eligibility Criteria

In order to participate in UPCET Spot Counseling 2022, Aspirants are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria given below:

• Candidates who were not allotted seats in previous rounds of UPCET Counselling.
• Candidates who were allotted seats but did not confirm their admission.
• Candidates who secured a rank in UPCET 2022 but could not participate in counselling due to unavoidable circumstances.
