Patna Law College was established in the year 1909 and since then it has been a prime college in the study of law. It is affiliated to Calcutta University and offers education at undergraduate level. 

  • The college offers admission in its undergraduate program i.e. LL.B through an entrance test conducted at college’s level.
  • The total number of seats in the undergraduate program in Patna Law College is 300.
  • The admission is strictly based on merit scored in the entrance exam. However, each student must score a minimum of 33% marks in order to be eligible for admission.

Chanakya National Law University (CNLU Patna)

The law university has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade. The university is known as 4th topmost law college in Bihar. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate programs, doctoral, and postdoctoral programs in the field of law. 

  • The courses offered by Chanakya National Law University include BA LL.B, BBA LL.B, and LL.M. It also offers Ph.D. and LL.D courses in the field of law. 
  • Admission in LL.B is done on the basis of marks scored in National level law entrance i.e CLAT.
  • A total of 140 seats are available for admission in LLB, out of which 120 are for CLAT candidates and 10 seats each for Foreign Nationals and NRIs.
  • In 2019, various companies visited the University and recruited more than 60% of students. The list includes names like Athena Law Firm, AK Singh & Associates, Wadia Ghandy & Co and KG Bhagat & Co.

Campus Life :

The college fest was the big highlight of this college. It was a 3day event. There were mostly cultural and managerial festival which took place. Many tv celebrity also turned up for the cultural event. There were many competitions held. The footfall was huge. People from different colleges turned up. The college did provide lot of help in setting up the event

Faculty :

The teachers are attentive & cultured & take great pains to impart learning although many are beginners and no experienced teachers , a mixed bag with the experienced teachers helping out and the freshers coming with fresh skills , i had a very good learning experience & never had any issues understanding what was being taught personally

Course Curriculum Overview :

It was chilled out although i hated labs we still follow the 75-25 paper pattern. Internal examination turns hectic and is difficult to score in them. Teachers prefer bribing with internal examination marks. Externals are fine & it was a breeze , not stressful at all atleast personally for me

After graduating from Gopal Narayan Singh University - [GNSU], Bihar in BBA, I knew that I wanted to do MBA from the same college itself because I love all the things about this college from curriculum to faculty to everything.

Placement Experience :

The placements in my college were quite average. The college was working on improving the placements offered to it's students. The companies used to visit our college in the last semester to select candidates for placement on the basis of interview conducted by them.

Campus Life :

The societies which were formed in our college included that of sports, NSS, NCC, debating, dancing,etc. Many extracurricular programs and competitions were also organized by our college to motivate students and help them transform in all rounder personalities.

Admission :

After completing my schooling, I applied for admission in tilka manjhi bhagalpur university to enroll for bcom course. Fortunately, I got admission in the college on merit basis and soon after the session began when all the admission procedures were done.
