Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative by the Govt of India to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving. The first four editions SIH2017, SIH2018, SIH2019 and SIH2020 was found successful in promoting innovation in young minds, especially engineering students from across India.

Two teams of All India Shree Shivaji Momorial Society’s College of Engineering ,Pune have been selected in the world's largest Innovative Model Smart India Hackathon SIH 2022, a national-level competition on innovation organised by the Ministry of Education, Innovation Cell and AICTE, Government of India.

In the final stage of the national competition, 2 teams of All India Shree Shivaji Momorial Society’s College of Engineering were selected. Shree Malojiraje Chhatrapati,Secretary AISSM Society congratulated the students. The Principal Dr, D S Bormane, said the shortlisted teams included -- Team QuantumGIS (selected for Software Edition), Team Audax(selected for Hardware Edition).

AISSMS COE students proved to be enormously successful in presenting their innovative ideas and have instilled a culture of out-of-the-box open innovations .

The Smart India Hackathon 2022 (SIH) published the list of the finalists of various problem statements. The AISSMSCOE students’ Team QuantumGIS and Team Audax,’, got selected for finals. 

Team QuantumGIS includes Tejas Bang(Team Leader), Ritik Shinde, Tejas Bhate, Prajwal Gaidhani, Hrutvik Jagtap and Ishani Bhongale.

Team Audax includes Deepali Dalvi(Team Leader), Prachi Kshirsagar,Shirish Nandkar,Niraj Sabale, Suyash Chavan and Rutvik Kakde

Dr.V N Patil (Professor, Civil Dept) , Mrs Rajashri Itkarkar(Asst Prof, E&TC Dept) and Mrs. Bhakti Patil (Asst Prof, Computer Dept) worked as mentors for these teams. Dr.S H Wankhade (Assoc.Professor, Mechanical Dept) served as the institutional SPOC (Single Point of Contact) and inspired the students to reach this heights.

Secretary AISSMS, Malojiraje Chhatrapati and all the members of Managing committee, Principal Dr.Bormane and Heads of all Department, Teaching and non teaching staff joins the entire AISSMSCOE family in wishing heartiest congratulations to ‘Team QuantumGIS’ and ‘Team Audax’ and their faculty mentors on this proud achievement .
