The academic year is divided into semester system and the registration for the courses begins in the month of May-June. The admissions are divided into two categories, which are A and B categories. The admission to “A” category is done by the centralized counseling through Telangana government and the admission to “B” category is done through management of the college on the basis of merit.

The Institute provides the exam time table on its official website for internal, external and supplementary examinations for every semester. The university also provides subject-wise exam dates. The exams for subjects that comes under B. Tech, begins in the end of May and ends by the starting of the month of June. The scheme of examination is almost the same for every semester and for almost every subject.

The supplementary exams for MCA. MBA and other B. Tech courses are held in the month of November which begins in the end of November and ends in the starting of December. As the dates for internal examination varies from the external exams, the mid-term examination for B. Tech courses starts in the beginning of December and ends by the mid of December only. The mid-term examination for B.tech 2nd year begins in the mid of April and ends in a few days only. The time table for 3rd and 4th year remains almost the same.
