Dr. S.S Tripathi has been working as a Professor and Dean of Agriculture Department at Invertis University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. He has done his Bachelor's and Masters in Agricultural Engineering from University of Allahabad and Ph.D. in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering form SHUATS, Allahabad. He has more than 32 years of working experience in Indian Veterinary Research Institute, lzatnagar and he has also registered 4 Patent Designs to his credit. He has a rich exposure of research, teaching, administration and management. His areas of specialization include Soil and Water Engineering, Farm Machinery & Power Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Animal Feed Production Technology and Precision Agriculture etc.

Moreover, the agricultural sector desperately needs new entrants as farm entrepreneurs to substitute a generation of old farmers. We have collaborated with a wide variety of industries including Seed Production Industry, Storage and Preservation Industry, Value Addition Industry, Post-harvest management of agriculture product and Agri-input industry in order to bring best opportunities for our students in college and provide them industry specific and placement oriented customized training programs.


What challenges have you faced while inculcating the above mentioned programs in your curriculum?

"Establishing infrastructure and modernized labs for smooth conduction of these courses is a hurdle"

We are facing numerous challenges while including the newly introduced courses of B.Sc. and M. Sc. into our curriculum. And we are struggling with establishing proper Infrastructure, laboratories and field labs which are essential components to deliver the required practical knowledge to our students under these courses. Apart from this, we don't have highly qualified faculty members to teach these courses to our students. 


On what kinds of projects your students are working on through these programs?

"They are working on farming and nursery raising related projects"

Our students are developing amazing projects on areas including Mushroom Farming, Bee keeping, Nursery raising, Vermicomposting and Agri-inputs trading etc.
