What are your views on online education?

“Acknowledging the obstacles with best ways for smooth learning”

Undoubtedly, we cannot replace face-to-face teaching with any of the online methods but since the situation of COVID-19 has led to online education thrust upon us, we need to ensure best use of it in more innovative ways. We need to cover the course syllabus in an interactive and smooth manner via online presentations, webinars and one-to-one talk sessions. Online education more or less pertains to the best use of technology so far.

What are your views on the new education policy?

“A step towards quality education and betterment of the students’ career”

The emphasis has shifted to employability and skill development from the New Education Policy 2021. In today’s era, people, especially qualified students are looking forward to quick employment after getting a certain level of education or bringing upon a skill. Another emphasis is that now it is more focused on quality parameters. The quality of education has become more important as per the new education plans, which not only consolidate our scattered education system but also to revive our old Vedic education system.

How do you plan on training the teachers who were not so tech-savvy?

“Staff development programs and training offering flawless skills”

These days research has become a very important component of teaching. For research work, everybody has to go through online libraries and websites. Still, for staff development, we have been regularly conducting skill development courses, digital sessions, etc. Especially for the online teaching program during the lockdown, we conducted one-on-one staff development programs for one week where a basic knowledge of online teaching was focused and initiated.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“Democratic leadership with collaborative decision making and participation”

I have always worked with a collaborative and participating style of leadership where each of the members collectively takes up tasks and implements ideas to reach a mission. I always believe in the influential decentralization of the power system for decision making.

Any advice you would like to give to the youths?

“Set your objectives and start working for them”

My advice to all the students as well as youths is that those who want to succeed in life; should have a very clear goal and give their 100% to perceive it. Remember, the road of success is not easy, you have to start working from day one. Also, practice to face failures in life, only then you would be able to handle success. One must develop a habit for themselves that helps in keeping them positive and creatively engaged.
