Ms.Jayapreethi Manoharan, a Professional Mathematician turned Law Academician, who have completed her Masters in Mathematics (M.Sc.,) with Distinction from University of Madras and completed her Law Graduation from a prestigious institution - Dr.Ambedkar Govt Law College, Chennai and obtained her Post Graduation - Masters in Business Law (ML.,) from the same college. In order to strengthen the teaching profession , she has successfully completed Teacher Training graduation with merit i.e., B.Ed., from SRM University. 

She has a year of work experience from Sutherland Global Services as a Team Leader for Dell XPS services (UK Support), also She holds 3 years of teaching experience as 10th & 12th Maths Teacher at a CBSE School in Chennai. Since 2014, She is working as a Legal Associate in ART Legal Solutions till the date. She is also one of the Lifetime Board members of Sree Narayana Mission Group of Schools and She became a part of Saveetha School of Law from 2017 and became an Head of the Department of Labour Law . She has organized several National and International Conferences and coordinated many Seminars and Webinars. She has also organized the 1st HEALTH AWARENESS CAMP for Faculties at SAVEETHA SCHOOL OF LAW and conducted Outreach programs and Self defense programs for Girl Children. She has also conducted many International and National Conferences and also successfully Organized 5th Mega Moot Competition at Saveetha School of Law. She has Presented Research Papers at many National/International Conferences and Published articles and research papers in many reputed journals with high impact factor. What is the latest program that you are offering in your Saveetha School of Law which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

RBL - Research Based Teaching

Our unique curriculum has integrated research as a major component for formative assessment. We encourage our students to do small doctrinal and empirical studies. Many students enthusiastically do original research and have published in UGC and Scopus journals, Web of Science journals and other prestigious National/International publications. Saveetha school of Law has the maximum publications among all law schools in the country. This program helps students not only gain knowledge on the statutory provisions of law but also in every other field which not everyone would possess and thus aid them in any other aspects they choose to pursue later on.


What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

Each Student of Saveetha School of law will graduate with at-least 5-6 publications done in the course. This will be an amazing achievement both for the students and the future firms they would work in. We have a stringent research board called the SRB (Scientific Review Board). All papers are meticulously vetted for plagiarism, originality of content and conformity to our publication protocol and ethics. We are the only law school to provide SPSS workshops as part of the curriculum without any additional cost. This ensures we balance both quality and quantity in our research work.

What are some valuable insights from the program Offered by Saveetha School of Law?

Our Unique Choice Based Credit System CBCS system allows you to take up to 32 credits every semester. This opens up an amazing opportunity for students to complete upto 80 papers. Although any Law student has to complete 53 papers to graduate, they have the option to use the extra time in pursuing upto 24 additional papers of the over 100+ elective courses offered in the school. We offer many special courses with upto 60 contact hours from reputed institutions like IIT Kharagpur. These courses also can be added to elective credits and aid in students achieving graduation goals as soon as possible. The special workshops usually are conducted for a duration of 1-2 weeks in a year. Saveetha School of law conducts over 400 special lectures every year. There are more than 1 special lecture everyday.


How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

Students have the option to voluntarily participate in Special Workshops in these courses during their leisure time. It is the robust nature of our unique study flex system that allows us to accommodate such amazing innovation in legal education. If a graduate successfully completes over 8 papers in a particular specialization, they will be awarded an additional minors degree. This provides an incredible platform for our students to follow their passion and develop an extraordinary edge over the graduates of other law schools.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with this program?

As a virtue of the system, since many students will finish their curricular requirements early on, we will offer fresh courses to prepare for civil service exams, Bar council exams etc. All these courses will allow our students to easily out perform others. Furthermore, we have objective questions in all aspects of the courses to enhance Bar council exam training and Concept Mapping method of learning will.make the Students to learn and understand the concepts from its root level.


What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

It was actually challenging to make students understand what they are actually up to, and what are the techniques they will get as a benefit from the curriculum. Well, it was not a high end challenge, After the implementation the results were actually overwhelming and effective too.


What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

Research paper writing and publications, many awareness campaigns on a weekly basis and recently Mega Legal awareness campaign has been conducted by the institution with 1000+ Students and many more.
