What do you think your responsibilities to the university and students are?

To provide a direction in the career path of my students, using my experiences of this field”

As a key person in the administration, my first responsibility is the smooth functioning of the college. Since students are the main stakeholders, the responsibility of a principal is to help them to achieve success in their career and life. For this regular interaction with the students is necessary. So far as responsibility towards University is concerned, regular communication with the concerned authorities is needed to resolve the problems of the college and the university, if any. To share ideas for the betterment of the students, so that the university can implement them.

How do you strategize for the administration of your institution?

“The strength of the college depends on the faculty and experienced administrative members”

We work on our productivity and constantly prepare our students for the industry. For the last twenty years, our alumni have been working in the Media Industry in big positions. Our faculty takes active participation in forming the academic policies. We believe that a positive climate is crucial for any organization’s success.

How does your college support students of different economic backgrounds?

“Our trust fund gives financial support to talented individuals in form of scholarships”

Most of the students who visit us, to be creatively successful, come from economically weaker sections. We provide education loans to them. Our college functions under the PrabhuDayalKasere Trust, which brings a good number of students. The trust provides scholarships to them.

What has been your vision for the college?

To provide an opportunity to have a balanced future for the youth and a career in the media industry”

When I joined the college, my sole mission was to improve the infrastructure, academics, and student’s perspectives regarding this field. To raise awareness we started IAAN’S YouTube channel, IAAN TV. This allows students to be creative & critical-thinkers. Apart from this, we have further improved our placement cell. Our students are already doing a good job in the private media industry, and now we are promoting them to the broadcast ministry job portal.

What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths?

“Our core values that impart not just academic skills but moral and social education as well”

The biggest strength of our institute is our discipline, counseling & co-ordination. This keeps us connected with students and helps us modify the policies for uninterrupted education.

How do you tend to establish a healthy environment in your institute?

“Student activities that boost interaction and transparent communication on all levels”

For the success of any organization, especially a media institution, a healthy relation amongst the staffer-admin-students is essential. To make the environment healthy in our institute, I keep on communicating with everyone. I believe that every wing of the institute is interlinked and any problem at any level may ruin the environment of the college. To make the environment student-friendly, we organize recreational activities, educational tours, and interactive sessions with students in smaller groups.
