Ms. Shweta Chouksey is currently designated as the Director of Rishiraj College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre. Her educational qualification includes B.E. and M.E. She has an immense experience as a Director of LNCT Group of Colleges, Kalchuri Contractors Limited to name a few.

In an exclusive interview with collegedunia.com, Ms. Chouksey talks about education industry in India and about her organisation.

Experience in the education industry

We are serving in the education and teaching sector for more than 25 years now. Our group, under the leadership of Shri Jainarayan Chouksey, started the first private engineering college with the aim of providing quality education and opportunities to the youth of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh region. With the tremendous support and success of LN Engineering college, we gained confidence in our working and ethics style, making us one of the most sought out groups in India in the education industry.

LN Medical College and Rishiraj College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre are our finest and best medical and dental colleges. Both the colleges are aiming to provide quality healthcare facilities to patients and students.

There is a tremendous potential in the healthcare sector because of increasing awareness and quality treatment facilities. Our colleges are providing all of these facilities along with sound academic teaching to the students.

Philosophy and style of Leadership

Being the director of RCDS & RC, my philosophy of leadership is based on the proverb “A good leader inspires others with confidence in him, a great leader inspires them with confidence in themselves.”

At Rishiraj Dental College, we have a great team, always ready to work for the betterment of the institute at all levels. Every member of my team has the zeal and confidence to make the college the numero uno in the field of dentistry in all aspects: be it education, sports or any other extracurricular activities.

Challenges faced as the Director of RCDS

As an educational institution, we have faced various challenges but we have a pre-planned strategy to overcome any challenge. One of the major challenges is to convince the parents and students about the program. To overcome this hurdle, we have a proper counseling team. They interact with the parents on a personal level and explains them our style of teaching, the sincerity of our staff and management.

Ms. Chouksey take on the curriculum practices in the college

Hard work, sincerity and honesty are the three pillars of success at RCDS and we try to induce all these qualities in our students. The college believes in imparting best of the academic lectures with practical classes. The students are taught the importance of logical and scientific thinking by proper examination, diagnosis and treatment of the patients at an early stage.

Apart from this, our departments conduct regular continuing dental programmes where students learn new aspects of dentistry from reputed gurus of modern dentistry across the world.

As the director of RCDS, I feel proud to share that we are conducting activities which benefit our students to a great deal. We have a large playground equipped with all sports facilities which students can access during their free time. We have soccer, cricket, badminton, volleyball competition yearly. We also have annual cultural fest every year where students of each batch present their extra curricular skills.

Changes noticed in the industry

With the technology increasing rapidly, every parent wants their child to shine and outperform in academics and their lives as well. The changes are significantly witnessed in the education and health sector as well. We, as an educational institute, have the duty to define and shape the future of the child associated with us with the best available practices. It is essential to look for the overall development of a child in all fields. This will prepare the student to face the best and worst scenarios of life with equal zeal and courage without bowing down to external pressures.

Ideal School Environment according to Mrs. Chouksey

Medical and dental fields are two areas where people look up to doctors next to the almighty. Doctors have tremendous respect among people and therefore a great responsibility comes with the profession. They need to deal with a lot of pain and suffering of patients and make them fit and fine.

In our colleges, we are trying to create an environment where doctor-patient relationship is not just for monetary benefits, but more like developing and establishing a more human touch so that not only the patient gets relieved from his pain but also remembers the doctor for the wonderful treatment and support. We have instructed our doctors and teachers to put in extra attention to these aspects.

Mrs. Chouksey goals for the institute

RCDS is scaling new heights every year both in terms of academic success and in terms of infrastructure provided to our students. The immediate goal in the near future is starting a Ph.D. program in our institute hopefully by the end of this year.

Also, we are in talks with foreign universities to make a strategic partnership with our institute so that there could be an exchange program arranged between students. This will give equal opportunity to our students to study and do collaborative research in reputed foreign institutes which could help me in their academic and professional life in the future.

Suggestions to the young generation

As the director of LNCT group of Dental and Medical college, I can assure all aspiring students that our institute not only has world-class infrastructure, good doctors to train you but we have a work culture which can make you a reputed successful doctor with a human touch.
