Prof. Rajesh Patil is a professor at Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh College of Law. He earned his LLM in 2002 and Ph.D. in 2016 from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Law Nagpur. He has practiced at Yavatmal District Sessional High Court from 1999 to 2003. He also worked as a Judge.
How do you make the Course Curriculum industry-oriented?
“To bridge the gap between the practical and theoretical skills of students”
The curriculum in our college is such that every student who passes from our college joins the Law association. So basically all our subjects are related to the practice of Law in different segments and we provide actual practices in different Law segments.
What do you see as Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh College of Law Amravati's greatest strengths?
“A good number of students get selected as judges from our college”
From the last 5 years, we have won many National Level competitions in Muthoots. We have a huge reputation in the locality as well as in the Vidarbha region specifically in Amravati District. From our college 7 Judges have been selected as per the data of last year. So we can provide a good Coaching center for students in the Judiciary. This Judiciary feature is put as separate from other Law colleges in Maharashtra and makes us famous in our region.
What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?
“Providing Students with a lot of good opportunities in the research sector is our priority”
We have had huge growth as we look from past 3- 4 years, recently we have opened research center for Law students and in coming years we are developing AB theatres, so as we can see we have a lot of good opportunities for a student here so we can see our self in top 5 Law college in Maharashtra in coming next 10 years. We just have a little bit of weak Infrastructure but we are developing it as the Govt has given grants to us for the development of Infrastructure. A separate library is also something we are developing in upcoming years. So basically, Infrastructure will be up to the mark in upcoming years.

What would you like people to know about your Institute they may not know?
“We provide practical knowledge to our students”
This is the best Institute in Maharashtra for Law perceiving students and we have the best faculties all over Maharashtra with lots of experience. We have quality teaching, a 3-year course, a 5-year course in LLM, Ph.D. in LLM and teaching is our strength. We provide practical knowledge to the students and believe in Practical knowledge.
How do students see Placement and Internships opportunities in your college?
“We provide 100% Placement assistance to our students”
We provide Interns in Final year students, we provide the best practices in Law for their future growth and to grow their skills. Students join as a junior to the advocates through us. Lots of reputed companies like Mahindra fin, Shreeram Fin came for campus recruitment last year. So, slowly we are developing our placements department and we are providing lots of internship opportunities to the students.
