What is your philosophy of leadership?

“Leadership entails inculcating honesty, discipline and dedication”

As the Principal of Kamla Nehru College of Pharmacy Nagpur, I would like to lead my team with my own examples. It is necessary to become a leader and a mentor, not to become the boss, to nurture your team and to polish their skills. I believe teamwork is the key to my leadership style. To all my students and teammates, I must instil a culture of honesty, discipline, and dedication.

What do you see as Kamla Nehru College of Pharmacy Nagpur greatest strengths?

  • We have Experienced Faculties from all over Maharashtra.
  • A number of our employees are young and active.
  • Our faculty members come from industrial backgrounds and have more than two decades of experience in the industrial sector.
  • The tools we have include an Advanced Instrumentation Centre, a big library, and a pilot plant.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Tie-ups, industrial collaborations and research plans”

Our College has a great infrastructure, but we are planning to add a few things to make it the best college in Nagpur. Sports facilities are also being developed. Our College has developed successful tie-ups with many industries for students to gain practical knowledge. As part of the Industry-Institute program, we are strengthening these contacts with many industries. We are already in contact with foreign institutes about entering into partnerships for exchanges of students, faculty, and research work.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Dream big and work hard to achieve your goals”

Those of you who are students or aspiring youth should be more committed and focused on your goals since nothing comes easy. Make your dreams a reality by working hard and bringing big ideas. To be successful, you need both theoretical as well as practical knowledge.

What are some plans that you’re currently designing for the students?

“Exchange of faculty and students, placements with foreign institutes”

The placements we have right now are satisfactory, but we have moved forward with a proposal for foreign institute placements, faculty exchanges, and student exchanges. Our current focus is on training students in the industries. We have tie-ups with many Pharmaceuticals industries, where faculties work for a couple of months and transfer their knowledge to the students. With the international MOUs and tie-ups, we are strengthening our placements and learning skills. Foreign industries also provide us with research projects and consultation.

“By creating a balanced environment of education, motivation and training”

  • Motivation is important for both students and teachers
  • By implementing practical training activities
  • To create an atmosphere of opportunity and education.
  • Providing students and teachers with support.

How could your college be more welcoming to students of different backgrounds?

“Equal educational opportunities irrespective of caste and religion”

Our support extends to every student that walks through our doors. Our goal is to improve their leadership skills and provide them with knowledge. Regardless of the family background of the students, we help them all. Discriminatory behaviour at the campus and in the classrooms is unacceptable.
