Yes, BITS Goa offers international 2-months internships for PS-1, 6 months duration for the single degree, and 1-year for the dual degree. For the master courses, you can decide between Thesis and PS-2 when they reach the final semester.
The internship is provided through a list of companies in which a student needs to fill up the preferences and then based on the aggregate or CGPA, the internships would be allotted.
Practice School-1:
- It is of 2 months duration after the second year for the single degree students and third year for the dual degree students in the summer term.
- Reputed companies offer internships such as BARC, CEERI, NPCIL, etc but the chances of abroad PS station is less.
Practice School-2:
- It is available in the final year for both the single and dual degree courses.
- The companies in PS-2 offer internships abroad but that depends on various parameters including the branch, projects, availability, and other factors by the companies.
- They will ask you if you want to complete your internships in the same company be it on-campus or off-campus.
- If you receive an offer from a company not mentioned in the Practice-School list, then you can pursue it as an off-campus thesis. You can request any faculty to be your mentor but it requires proper planning.
However, if you choose to pursue an on-campus thesis, then it is mentored under the supervision of a professor from BITS Goa whereas an off-campus thesis will be supervised by a faculty from foreign universities along with one from the campus.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management
- The SIPs are in BFSI, Research & Consultancy, Engineering & Durables, E-Commerce, FMCG, IT/ITES, and Others. Out of these, Research & Consultancy placed the maximum students (29% of the batch).

One of my friends was a student of Mr. Siddharth K. Rastogi. He mentored my cousin while he was working on some projects.
He has worked on topics related to Public Policy, Trade and WTO, Tourism, China, Sports Analytics, and Bird-watching. Mr. Rastogi needs students with excellent writing and editorial skills, specifically academic writing and with excellent statistical analysis.
You must also look up some other professors as well with probably a better record in research. The general perception is that such internships are meaningless and might be useful only if you are amongst the top 1%.
What cutoff (CPI) does Goldman Sachs keep for ECE students in internships at MNNIT Allahabad?
My cousin belongs to the 2020 batch of B.tech at MNNIT Allahabad. Goldman Sachs visited the campus for an internship for their batch. The general selection criteria for this internship are:
- You must belong to either of these branches: BTech All, MCA, MSc
- You must have a CPI of 5 or above
If you are preparing for getting selected at Goldman Sachs, just focus on your problem-solving and coding skills. Also in their technical round, you will be asked Quant questions that are very hard if you lack practice in that. Yes, Quant questions are the type of questions that are asked in CAT exams.
However, it is quite common to see students with a CPI of 8 or higher being selected most. This is the harsh truth, thus you might see your name in the first shortlist but not in the second list as your CPI is lower. Hence, work hard enough to get a CPI of 8 or higher and emphasize more and more on your coding skills as the coding exam for Goldman is very tough.
What are the summer internships at the IIT Kharagpur for students from other colleges?
Unlike other IITs, IIT Kharagpur has no specific portal for outside students to apply for summer internships. Now the question arises, in the absence of a specific portal how do students apply for internships?
Well, the official website of IIT KGP has a faculty section containing information on the research work of faculty of various departments. There is a lot of information on their experience level, personal information, and ongoing projects. Based on your own interests, you can contact the professor whose work intrigues you the most.
The next step is to make a good resume including all your project activities and subject-specific knowledge. Include the SOP, mention why you chose IIT KGP, that specific area, and your future goals. Send this resume to the email address of the professor you wish to intern under.
Lastly, don’t lose hope if you don’t get replies immediately, and stay consistent.
Is there any type of internship program available at LNCT Bhopal?
The Training and Placement department of LNCT provides internship opportunities but the same cannot be said for the IT department, sadly.
However, if you are looking for internship opportunities, the institute may disappoint you. To get maximum exposure, you can try participating in extracurricular activities. Some of the companies do offer internships based on your level of interest and assign roles like Assistant Officer, beginner roles among other roles.
If you want to become a student of civil engineering, Autocad and other related internships are included in the course. You can get them done on your own with help from the institute.
