BITS Pilani assistant professor salary is approximately around INR 97,000/month before taxes, including DA. The salary amount is decided based on the UGC scale. It also depends on the designation and experience of the faculty member. Other than salary, the faculty members of BITS Pilani get housing benefits.

The salary details of the assistant professors at BITS Pilani is given below –

Fresh Ph.D. – A professor who has no previous teaching experience and is a fresh Ph.D. will get a salary in the pay band of INR 30,000 with a Grade Pay of INR 8,000. The DA is 139% of the sum of the pay band and the Grade Pay.
After the Probation period – The pay band will become INR 37,400 – INR 67,000 with a Grade Pay of INR 9,500. The DA is the same 139% of the sum of the pay band and the Grade Pay.

This is the basic salary and the actual salary may differ with many other components being added as well.
