I am now in MAMC Delhi Should I drop this year to get into AIIMS Delhi I am sure to get selected next year?
MAMC is a good option and well-recognized in the medical fraternity. You won’t regret joining the institute. Also, in medical field, your institute name won’t matter much. If you want to pursue higher studies after graduation, you need to follow the same steps, irrespective of whether you are graduating from AIIMS or MAMC.
After joining MAMC, you also have the option to prepare for AIIMS next year. It will be difficult, but doable.

AIIMS is a brand which all of us have heard from our childhood. They dreamt of it. It is a student’s dream college because of its reputation. But that doesn’t mean that Maulana Azad Medical College is not good. MAMC is no less than the AIIMS Delhi and is one of the best colleges in the nation. MAMC has the best academic structure in the nation. My friends from MAMC are quite happy as mostly everyone got pg in their first attempt.
Unlike engineering, the college name does not play a major role in the medical career. For becoming a good clinician, your college of MBBS will not matter much. During MBBS, the curriculum is mostly theory based and in the clinic, you are supposed to grasp the basics. So, it doesn't really matter from which hospital you learn.
Therefore, don’t compare both of the colleges as MAMC is a whole new experience and there are no major differences between both the institutes.
