Trust me NIT Trichy is undoubtedly one of the best among all the NITs in terms of ranking, faculties, facilities, placement, etc. B.Tech courses are undoubtedly superior here. Also, the M.Tech courses at NIT Trichy's are much better compared to other NITs.

Coming to the Metallurgy department, for M.Tech there are three specialties available.

  • Welding Engineering,
  • Industrial Metallurgy,
  • Material Science & Engineering.

Here is the placement average for the Metallurgy specializations at NIT Trichy.

  • M.Tech Industrial Metallurgy - 79.9%
  • M.Tech Material Science and Engineering - 76.9%

In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered at the institute was 6 LPA.
