What are some great things about NIT Jalandhar?

here are some good things about NIT Jalandhar. Some of them are as follows.

Training and placement department:

So far, this is the best thing in NIT Jalandhar. The TPO works seamlessly. This is the only department in the college that doesn’t function like a typical government organization. Here, decisions are made, risks taken and procedures subverted to help the students. They also have some excellent numbers to be proud of.

• No of Recruiters: 28

The TPO tops the list of reasons why NIT Jalandhar has gained such a proud name in the North Region.

Alumni:

There are many alumni who are the pride of the institute and have some amazing achievements to their name. Today, if you open Forbes, you would definitely find one or the other article related to some of the other alumni and their company. For example, Upasna Taku, Founder One MobiKwik.

Packed nights at CSH:

If you fill a 700-student auditorium with 2000 students, there would always be chaos. But the atmosphere of such nights is brilliant. The crowd of Utkansh and TechNITi nights is amazing. 

Humanities Department:

The faculty of this department truly deserves a mention in the list of some of the good things in the institute. 

• The department has single-handedly cultivated the love for economics amongst the students and also exposed them to areas like finance, game theory, marketing, and behavioral sciences. 
• Apart from academics, they have also taken initiatives like the interview and GD preparations since the 2014 batch which are really commendable. 

Department of Computer Science and Engineering:

The batch of 2011-2015 had single-handedly changed the culture of the college. Competitive programming is now a buzzword in the entire campus, all thanks to this batch. 

• The success of some of the participants has inspired many students from junior batches into joining CodeChef and other platforms. They have also shown that International Placements are not limited to older NITs and IITs anymore. 
• You can find at least 2 GSOC winners coming from the institute in the next 5 years and at least one team reaching the ACM ICPC world finals in the next 7 years. 

NIT Jalandhar is not different from the other NITs which are struggling to find their roots amongst the mighty IITs, IIITs, and some other southern NITs.
