Studied at SVKM's NMIMS (2019)

One of my cousins who studied at NMIMS said that the MBA is good but it is not as good as the core MBA. The campus is relatively smaller with no sports grounds. MBA (Tech) is a tough course. There are over 12 subjects in a semester. If the students are from outside of Mumbai, then the living cost will be pretty tough. The rent is very high, therefore it should be considered while calculating the fees to be paid.

  • The attendance policy is very strict. You have to maintain 80% attendance.
  • The Mumbai campus will give the required amount of exposure. There are some good student organizations and a college student council which organizes events, fests and guest lectures.
  • The college offers 50 marks internal evaluation.
  • The teaching faculty is good.
  • The college curriculum offers two internships - technical and management. This helps in learning and gaining experience before joining any firm. It helps in gaining job experience within the course duration and saves a year.
  • The overall placement is average.

If the student wishes for a start-up, then the MBA Tech course is all about management and will help a lot. The student should talk with the recent pass-out student to know the current situation before making any decision.
