My college

Remarks :

Junagadh agricultural university has 2 sub colleges located at amreli and Porbandar. The main university is at Junagadh you can get admission here after passing the 12th or after the 10th in case of a diploma. For agriculture, horticulture, and veterinary courses you have to have a B group in the 12th while in the case of biotechnology you had to have an A group in the 12th class. In case of merit out of 100 60% is counted from your board percentage and 40% from your gujcet for state students while state students have to clear the ICAR exam. You can find admission-related information from the official website www.gsauca.in.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our country is agriculture-based and agriculture has wide scope so that's why I choose agriculture. As for faculty they have at least completed their m.sc. and they have to clear the NET exam. The teaching method is ppt based in the lecture hall while during practical sessions we have to visit the farm and do practical work. The exam was taken at the end of the semester mainly 3 exams are there mid-term, practical, and final exams. It's quite difficult if you didn't understand it well otherwise it's easy.

Placement Experience :

8th-semester students can be eligible for campus placement. The lowest package is about 2 to 3 lakh while the higher package is up to 10 to 12 lakh. 30 to 40 percent of students get a degree after graduation while other students can apply for m sc. Or any competitive exams. I want to do post-graduation.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As per the fees concern we have to pay 3000 per semester including all like gym, library fees, exam fees, etc. For girls As for scholarships, we are allowed to apply for 1 scholarship only because our college is the government so no need to apply for more.

Campus Life :

We celebrate the annual function and fresher and farewell. Our library has almost all books related to each subject of agriculture also we have different sections for journals and magazines. For sport, our university takes students up to the national level.

Hostel Facilities :

The room is quite big and every student has their personal chair and Cabot. We have self mess so no complaints about the food. The hostel is government type so need to pay fees. Anyone can afford a hostel. The mess menu can be decided by the students themselves.
