VGSoM Experience

Remarks :

Requires a Bachelor of technology/ engineering or master in arts/ science/Medicine or commerce for eligibility. you can find the form at the college website of www.vgsom.com There is less educational profile diversity

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I want to pursue MBA in general management and VGSoM is good for it. Faculty to Student ratio is 1:10 All the faculties are PhD holders with most of them having rich industry experience. The semester system is followed by strictly following the academic calendar and each semester has mid sem and end sem. Also difficulty level is on the higher side.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies offering internships are ICICI bank, Pwc, Wonder cement, and Texas Ins et and the average stipend was around 1.3 lakhs. Roles offered varied from project management, supply chain, MT, sales, marketing etc.

Placement Experience :

From the third semester, students are eligible for placements. Some of the major recruiters are ICICI bank, Titan, Accenture, Deloitte etc. The offers made were 90+ The highest package is around 32 lakhs and the average is around 19 lakhs. 100% of students got placed. Go for the job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The return on investment in this college is one of the best in the country. and it cost around 11 lakhs for the complete two-year program. There is no hike in between the courses. Scholarships are provided to reserved classes and EWS of the society.

Campus Life :

Our annual fest is Purvodaya and our tech fest is Kshitij. and they are conducted in the month of Jan and Feb. All books are available in the library. Classrooms are equipped with all kinds of facilities. All students get a chance to explore their extracurricular interests as there are plenty of opportunities available. There are a total of 18 clubs and committees run by student bodies.

Hostel Facilities :

We have triple-sharing rooms which depend on availability. Meal quality is better compared to other colleges. Hostel fees are affordable and included in the admission process. No, since hostels are compulsory for every student.

Interview Experience :

We were not having any group discussions. Interview questions mostly revolved around work ex, statistics, educational background and current affairs. First was shortlisting on the basis of profile score and cat score. Further, there was an interview round and the final result. I prepared using online stuff on current affairs and mock interviews.

Placement Experience:

The college follows the legacy placement processes for both the summer and final placements. The most recent data depicts the average summer internship stipend to be 263000 for the period of 2 months and 25,16,000 for the final placement offers. The highest stipend stood at 3,75,000 for 2 months and 80,00,000 for the final placements from an international firm. The college has seen 100% placements. As for my plans, I intend to secure a placement from the college placement process in my preferred domain of FMCG in sales and marketing.
