Satisfactory College with good extra-curriculars and good faculty

Remarks :

The college admission process is simple, but it just requires a lot of documentation and form filling. The minimum requirement for admission is 65-70% in 12th from a recognized board. The colleges sometimes give admission at 60%. There are no GD/PI rounds for admissions. Offline counseling sessions are available with the faculties if requested. Details regarding the application form, the application fees, and the application dates are all available on the university website - ' www.iisuniv.ac.in '. If you are a local, it is advised to visit the campus once and get the details from the university reception. I would like the college to add volunteers which can guide the parents and students through the admission process, as it sometimes becomes very time-consuming as full details are not shared at once and can sometimes lead to multiple rounds to the admission office.

Course Curriculum Overview :

ICG's B.com(h) course was providing a variety of subjects that changed every semester and were constantly upgraded( It is what I was told ). So, I thought that it would provide me with a variety of knowledge on different aspects of business and was also told that ICG is known for its extra-curricular activities and events, so I took admission. My experience was satisfactory. 50% of the faculty is amazing, no doubt. They are renowned professors with exceptional knowledge and are very helpful. But the rest 50% are just average and below average, either they don't have enough teaching experience and fail to teach in class or their subject knowledge is not very up to the mark. The teaching method of some teachers is outdated, though some use very creative digital tools. Many focus on bookish knowledge rather than practical learning. Exams are semester based with 2 semesters per year, the difficulty level ranges from medium to difficult, if you are regular in-class exams will be easy.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I think ICG is costlier in comparison to other Jaipur colleges. During 2019-22 the fees were around 50000-60000 per year (160000-200000 course fees) per year for B.com and if you take extra courses, additional fees are charged for the same. But this year the fees are hiked up, I think they now they charge around 250000 for the course, please confirm once. The cost of hostel facilities and travel charges are separate, ICG has its own hostel but there are many other affordable and better options available. ICG provides scholarships, but for that, you need to be active and keep note of all announcements, also you can submit an application for the same. I did not opt for placements because ICG does not provide good placement opportunities. The highest package offered during my time was 40000, and the average is 15000-25000 for most students. Also, the internship opportunities are not up to the mark. The food rates around the area are affordable for the students.

Campus Life :

The social life at ICG is good. 2-3 annual fests are organized and a few competitions are organized every month by different clubs of the university. There are a lot of different clubs in the university, of which a student can be a part. Also, the university provides a lot of certificate and diploma courses, some of which are excellent and others are average. The yoga and sports club of the university is very active and usually participates in a lot of intercollege competitions. Also, the university has NSS and NCC departments, which I believe every student should be a part of. I too was a group leader and volunteer in NSS for 3 years, and it was my best experience in college. The college has a good library, where a variety of books and journals on different subjects is available, and there is an e-library portal too. The infrastructure is not very good, the college campus is very small and there is no other seating area for the students other than the library.

The placements are available for the students during 3rd year. The internship is available for the students during 2nd year. There are many companies who come to college for jobs like Parimal finance limited, red hat etc. There are many offers available for jobs with an average package of 2.5 lakhs. The highest package is 15 lakhs which are for MBA profile student. There 40-45% of students get the average package and the other students get more than the average package. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course because the placement chances after the college was good in this course the ratio of faculty and students was 1:50 . Faculty was good in teaching but not enough faculty was available in the college as in my final year of college there were only 2 teacher out of 6 were available. Exams were always on time in the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose b.com because I'm a commerce student and in future, I have to become CA or CS. The faculty was good and the ratio is almost 10000 or more students. The teaching method is perfect and the faculty are well qualified. In the semester there are 2 main exams every 6 months. Not so many exams are there because the exams are held by Rajasthan University.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for this course because I want to do graduation and then apply for masters this course takes less time. 1:40 is the student-faculty ratio. Ph.D. holders and their methods of teaching are good. You have to give exams in a period of time as per the date sheet in a semester you have to give around 2-3 times exams. Nothing is difficult if you are studying for 1 hour at least a day you'll pass.
