BA International Relations in Central University of Kerala

Remarks :

I cracked CUET(Common University Entrance Test)-UG and got good marks on the test. Through CUET I was eligible for Delhi University too. But I choose the Central University of Kerala due to some personal issues. The eligibility for Admission to the Central University of Kerala is that good marks in CUET are +50% above the mark in the 12th Boards. I had no reservation availed.

Course Curriculum Overview :

BA. International Relations at the Central University of Kerala is a undergraduation program which has adopted new education policy of the central government. The program is the only Under graduation program in international relations which is provided by a university in the country. I am very fond of international politics, so I have chosen this course. The department has 40 seats in a year and faculties are permanent and Qualified with NET+Doctoral Degrees and have experience of a long period in teaching. Exams are genuine and not so easy to pass. Only the students who are aware of the concepts clearly can pass the tests.

Internships Opportunities :

Students have a lot of internship opportunities. In my department, the end of the 4th semester is the period of internship. Students can approach any institution approved by the university for internship activities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As the institution is governed by Central Govt. the fee structure is so simple. The admission fee is 9654/- and the semester fee is less than 3000. I am not much aware of the scholarship and Financial Assistance from the campus.

Campus Life :

The Annual fest of CU Kerala is known as Cunkama. It is a grand event that includes vivid sports and arts activities. The last 'Cunkama' was held in February of 2022. The university has enabled students to use a huge collection of reading materials online through 'MyLoft' Software. BA IR department library is considered one of the largest department libraries in India. Classrooms are fully furnished and have digital facilities also. Students have many games to play including table tennis. Every special day is observed on campus. There are Sports, Nature, Reading, and Fine Arts clubs in the Capital center of CU Kerala. Especially an IR Council Functions here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose History because I am interested in teaching. There are 60 students in each class. There are two teachers for each subject. The teachers who teach are all those who have obtained NET and Ph.D. after post-graduation or B Ed. Apart from taking classes and taking exams, they also take classes with us. Exams are conducted in semesters. Even if the degree is three years, it is enough to write it in 5 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the English language and that's why I opted for this course. And my experience is good. The syllabus is good, but the class size is small and the student-teacher ratio was like 20:4. Teaching methods were good but I felt that they can speak the English language more than the regional language. The exams will carry in semester-wise with a duration of 6 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion is in the teaching field and my primary goal presently is to get graduated in BA English and gain a B.ed qualification. I am passionate about poetry, drama, and novels. The faculty is one of the best ever that I had experienced. The quality of teaching is excellent. The support of the faculty members is excellent. Mostly young mentors are present in the faculty. Term exams are each one per semester, these marks are included in the internals. A moderate form of difficulty is experienced during the term exams. The teaching method is very impressive. Mostly interactive classes are done.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because this is the best course to study for becoming an English teacher in the future. There are about 20 faculty members in the department. Almost 6 students are under a teacher's control. Teachers are good in their language and in teaching. Term exams are ok they help a lot in the sem exams.
