Remarks :
The college provides an excellent admission process. The eligibility is decided only with the 12th standard marks. No entrance test for under graduation. The application form will be always available in the college portal 'Nirmala College For Women'. All the course fee details and the application fee details will be updated in the college portal itself. There is no capitation fee collected and the course fees are also very affordable. The admission process is also very simple and no other improvements are required.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I liked chemistry personally and I took the course. But I got more interested in the subject after joining this college. All the faculties are of a high standard and knowledgeable in the subject and much friendly and approachable. In my class, we are 30 in number and 5 faculties take a class for us. There are a total of 9 faculties in my department. We have a good time learning. We are thought with smart boards, presentations, discussions, chalk and board, etc. We also can go freely and learn one on one anytime. We also do seminars, quizzes and presentations which help us to understand the subject in depth. We have 6 semesters and for each semester we have 2 internals and the end-semester exam. In between, we have class tests which help us to learn the subject regularly. All the exams are good enough to test our knowledge and we are given good training to clear the exams with good results. I personally have a good time learning this course.
Placement Experience :
We have a separate placement cell which is led by a team of faculty and student leaders. We are given excellent training for the interviews and other exams by a separate team who r the HRs of various companies. We are also well-trained in aptitude, reasoning and logical thinking. All the final-year students (both UG and PG) are eligible for campus placements. Some companies recruit second-year students also. They also join when they are called. For this academic year, till now around 30 companies like KGIS, Audi, Adithya Brilla, TruLeaf, RnD Softech, National Model School, Amity University, etc have come for recruitment. Almost 80% of our students are placed in at least one of the companies. The maximum package was 4,00,000/- and the minimum package was 2,00,000/- per annum. We do have recruitment for part-time jobs. I'm already selected by 4 companies for a good package. But I also want to pursue higher studies. I'm yet to take a decision between both.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In our college, generally, the cost of the study is very less. Still, we have all the government scholarships which many students avail. We also have special scholarships from the departments and the old students association. Some students get scholarships from private organisations also. Financial assistance is given by the college for all the needful students. Regarding the campus jobs, we have a separate placement cell with a faculty and student head under and we have a team leading it. We are given placement training through classes and mock interviews. We are well-trained to face all the interviews and we are encouraged to attend all the interviews. Every year we have many companies coming and recruiting our college students for various jobs. For this academic year, till now around 30 companies have come for recruitment and in all the companies a maximum number of students are placed. I have received merit and government scholarships and I'm placed in 4 companies till now.
Campus Life :
We have around 20 clubs and all the students are part of at least one club. All the clubs have a team of faculty and student leaders who take care of the clubs. Our college also conducts many fests both department-wise and college-wise. We have a very good library facility. We have both department libraries and a main library. The main library has all types of journals and books and one floor is completely for the digital library. We have a separate sports room for indoor games and a big group for outdoor games. All are maintained well. Our sports team has won many awards, prizes and medals in all the sports meet. We have IIC, EDC, NISP, NCC, NSS, RSP, Chetna Women's Cell, Anti-Ragging Club, Energy Club, etc.
