Remarks :

The entrance exam is the MAKAUT CET exam and after that interview. Eligibility is 12th pass with maths and computer as subjects Find the application form and dates on the college's official website I'm from the general category so no idea abt reservations in this college

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course/syllabus of this course is not designed that well by our university (MAKAUT) cuz there are no practicals, only theory and data science without practical knowledge is useless. I chose this course cuz data science has a very bright future ahead and I also like the combination of maths and computers. Most of the Faculty members are very friendly and helpful and are well-qualified to teach the subject

Class Size : 30Course Fees : INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Only 1 internship opportunity I got through college which was giving me a completely irrelevant job role (by doing that I'll not gain or develop any skills that will help me in future) with a 5k stipend. They say there are many companies tied up with college but I have yet to see in-campus interviews

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are very high. First, you have to pay 50000 as registration fees Then 1.2 lakhs for other expenses like lab fees, placement cell fees, Industrial fees, etc Then per sem fees is 45000 (i got a small scholarship so my fees for every sem is 40000) So overall the courses are for about 4.5lakhs

Campus Life :

This is more like a college of events Any kind of event is never missed here 'Managedia' is a very popular event in our college in which many colleges take part There is a huge library in our college with many available books Classrooms are clean n well maintained with air conditioning and good quality benches There are many clubs in our college, and students council like the cultural club, gaming n tech club, real estate club, social media club, etc

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Mathematics because it is really an interesting subject and I study it with great curiosity. The faculty is extremely good with brilliant professors who help the students at their best in every way possible. The students get engrossed in their studies by the environment. The professor teaches very nicely by making the students understand each concept minutely. They come up with different ways so that the topics become comparatively easy to grasp. 6-semester exams will be held in the 3 years course. Two end semesters in one year. Internals are taken by the professor before the end semester. A student can easily pass these exams if he/she studies diligently.

Basically, I choose this course because I love coding. But in our department, there is a small problem we have only 3 faculty members. But those faculty members are quite good they help us with various topics. The exam is taken every 6 months like other collages.

A short review of Vidyasagar College

Course Curriculum Overview:

All of the professors are good at this college. All of them are well qualified and they have done their PhD from well-known institutes. They teach very well in an interactive way. They are very friendly and they also give guidance about higher studies. There are 2 exams per semester. One is internal and the other is the final semester exam. This college is not an autonomous one but it is under Calcutta university. Internal exams are easy but since it is under CU so final sem exam can be tough, it depends on the university of Calcutta.

My internship experience

Placement Experience:

When we complete 4th semester we are eligible for the placement program. 30-40company and many offers were made vas it was the time of covid19-20 the placement were held online. Hyatt, Oberoi, ITC etc were some top companies. Highest package was around 8-9lacs. Average was around 4-5lacs. 50 percentage was placed. I don't know exact percentage. Planning for masters .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am studying Zoology Honours there. I chose the course because that's my field and I wanna do something big in life science. The Faculty: Student Ratio in our department is really good. It's around 1:10. The teachers are really qualified in their subject. Most of them have done research in their own field. Their teaching method is student-friendly and they teach in English and Bengali. The terms are running timely as of now and the exam difficulty depends upon how you pay attention to it. As teachers, there are very good in terms of completing the syllabus on time.

Placement Experience:

For some departments, there is a scope of placement. For our department, we were offered to seat in placements. TCS, WIPRO, ICICI, etc companies came and the average package was around 3 lakh per year. But most of the students don't seat for placement because they're willing to go for higher studies. After doing B.Sc one can crack IIT JAM JEST TIFR-like exams to opt for M.Sc. in IITs and in a reputed research organization. Similarly after BA, one can go for MA
