Course Curriculum Overview :

Mbbs is a very noble degree and I aspired to become a doctor from a very young age. The faculty of the government medical college in Srinagar is highly qualified and excellent at teaching. The teacher-student ratio in every batch is almost 1:15. All the faculty members at least have a masters in their respective subjects and have experience of more than 15 years. The teaching method is presented based on and ensures maximum student participation. In an academic year, 2 terminal examinations are held within the first 8 months and then a send-up exam is taken in the 10th month of the year followed by a prof exam at the end.

Internships Opportunities :

Government medical college Srinagar provides internship facilities to not only their own graduates but also foreign medical graduates who have cleared foreign medical graduate examinations held by the national medical council of India. Intern doctors are paid 12,800 per month. The duration of the internship is 12 months and includes all the departments.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Mbbs in government medical college Srinagar is very inexpensive. The cost of the whole degree will be around 54000. For the first year fee is 32000, the second year fee is 9000, the third-year fee is 7500, and the final year fee is 5500. There hasn't been a fee hike since 2016 as the institution is government funded. Poor and deserving students are also provided with scholarships worth up to 40,000. After completing four years at the college, then you have to complete a one-year internship in which the monthly stipend is 12,800.

Campus Life :

There is no annual fest that takes place in the government medical college in Srinagar. However, a lot of conferences are held every month, especially in the department of surgery. The library is not so spacious, it can only accommodate 100 students at a time. However, all the recent books are available in the library. Classrooms are not up to date. There are no air conditioners in the classrooms and also inadequate heating arrangement during winter. The playground has a separate field for football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, and hockey. Every year a sports meet is held in the month of September in which every sports event takes place. Students of gmc srinagar run ngo named the vision which aims at helping poor patients who cannot afford treatment or medicines.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is for about approx. 5.5 years of duration it can be two semesters per year for passing. The college contains a large no. of professors for each subject I want to help People as it can be possible. All professors have a high quality of education front different standard institutes so have a standard quality of education. About 5 months are given for the first term exam and these are very difficult to get passing marks and have a very tough examination method for Indian Medical.
