Short Review About SIGCE, Ghansoli

Remarks :

I took admission to Smt. Indira Gandhi college of engineering through CET marks i.e an entrance exam. My score on Common Entrance Test (CET) was 58.26 percentile. Though it was less I got my name on the last list and in fact, my name was last in the list. So the cutoff of 2021 is 58.26 for boys in the open category in CSE(IOT AND CYBERSECURITY INCLUDING BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY)

Course Curriculum Overview :

Overall Teachers are very good as experienced teachers play an important role in the exam point of view. Teachers are very helpful and they guide you through the year. Teaching methods are excellent. By studying at this college I feel good enough. Now coming towards the exams section, teachers provide a Question bank for Unit text exam 1&2 and it is easy to pass these unit tests. Also, they suggest some very important questions from a semester point of view.

Placement Experience :

I guess from semester 6 students are eligible for campus placements. Vipro, TCS, Capgemini, IBM, Voltas, Syntel, eTouch, Sanket solutions, etc. The percentage of the students in placement doesn't required, the only thing required is your skills regarding a particular job. I

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Here fees are around 97000 for the open category in the Computer science field. Also if you belong to some categories like obc/sc/st/ebc/ews, etc scholarships are available for these. I have applied for Ebc scholarship i.e Rajashri shaau maharaj scholarship. After applying for this scholarship my fees became 57 thousand. Coming to the campus placements last year the campus drive went to the average of 4.5LPA and the highest was 11LPA

Campus Life :

The annual fest is IGNITE EVENT and is conducted generally at the end of February or starting march. Since the lockdown, This is the first time I'll be seeing this IGNITE event. Books are available in the library of mostly every author and they issue you a book only if you have a college id because there is a barcode on the College id card. A sports fest named "Sangram" is very good for those who are good at sports and you can participate in each sport without any registration fees. This enhances your inner you and it helps students to get out of their comfort zone and show their talent in sports the students who are best in any of the sport is selected for the College team. I'm a member of the RAIOT club which means Research in Artificial intelligence and the Internet of things. This club indulge people to come up with their knowledge and share with us any ideas about technology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The professor is highly knowledgeable they are very supportive if we find any difficulty from any problem then they help a lot with it. Exams are in every month and final semester exams are there If we study hard then exams are not tough. Negative point is that sometimes faculty say anything bad so it gets irritated.
