Remarks :
To get admission to SV colleges we either have to qualify in the Ap eamcet or can join in management quota directly in the college. The application form is only available in the college itself and we have to go physically to the college and there is no online option for the application form submission, I think that has to be changed. Students who can get the full fee reimbursement who qualified through the AP eamcet and have white ration cards are applicable for Jagan anna vidya Deevena.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As AI has been the sound across the world present, I opted for computer science and engineering with a specialization in Artificial intelligence and Machine learning. There are a huge number of lecturers who are qualified and can teach in a way that students can able to understand and teachers are super supportive. Many of the faculty members have finished their Ph.D. and some Mtech and have degrees in their appropriate subjects. But lecturers do not have enough knowledge to teach artificial intelligence in our college still, they try to teach by learning and with the knowledge they have. Teachers try to teach in a very collaborative and interesting manner to make students involved in the subject. We have 2 semesters for each year and each semester consists of 2 mid-exams and a final exam including internal and external labs. As our college is autonomous, question paper is prepared by the college faculty itself. Mostly exams are not that difficult to make exams easier for all the students.
Internships Opportunities :
Our college offers internship opportunities right from 1st year but in a very hard manner. It provides internship and training offers with 5k or more, but internship opportunities in our college are not highlighted or known enough and are not provided in a fully pledged way.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for campus placements in 3-2 or 4-1 semesters. Last year itself we had 2100+ placements from different companies. Wipro hired 508 students with a package of 3.5 LPA, 350 students were hired by cognizant with a package ranging from 4 to 6.7 LPA, Capgemini hired 263 students with 4-7.5 LPA package,180 students were hired by TCS with a package of 3.3-7.6 LPA, Accenture hired 116 students with a package of 4.5-6.7 LPA, IBM hired 26 students with 4.5 -7.2 LPA, HCL hired 28 students with a package of 3.6 LPA, etc. TCS gave the highest package of 7.6 LPA and the lowest package of 3.3 LPA. Wipro hired a large number of students. The average package is 4.5 LPA by most companies, and above 70 percent of student has been placed in campus placements. I am also trying to get placement in the college itself.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Students can get scholarships from the government of Andhra Pradesh under the scheme Jagananna vidya Deevena. This is only for the students who have qualified in AP Eamcet and joined college through counseling in EAMCET. Otherwise, students have to pay their fees according to their course. The fee for our course is 52800 only for general category students who have joined college through EAMCET counseling. For management quota fee will be 70000 per year with a donation of approximately 1.5 lac to 2 lac. We have campus recruitment jobs in which many companies come to hire qualified students such as Wipro, Capgemini, TCS, TechMahindra, etc. with stipends ranging from 2.5 lac to 8 lac.
Campus Life :
Our College conducts many fests such as AMPLE, JOSH, Cultural and Tech fests, etc. every year. College life is very interesting with the resources available in college like a library for every department separately and a central library where we can find books for every department. There are magazines and newspapers available in the reference library. Classrooms have got desks and a blackboard with a projector for every classroom. We have a large ground with facilities of a pet room where we can get coaching from pet teachers and have different sports clubs. Many students actively participate in social clubs and voluntary programs.
