Remarks :

I got admission to one of the government colleges of Kerala. An entrance exam named KEAM (Kerala entrance and medical exam) is required for entrance to colleges. So I got an average rank in keam exam and got admitted to my college. The admission process is not so complicated but through a detailed procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course I selected was chosen as per my interest. The ratio between teachers to students is fine. Teachers' qualifications are up to the point and almost all teachers are professors and completed their degrees in well-reputed colleges. Exams are done semester wise and there are other exams in between each semester.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 8000 per year

Placement Experience :

From 6th semester students from our colleges are eligible for campus placement. A few companies like Infosys, walkaround, L&T ..etc are visited. Package in between 1.5-3lakh is provided. A number of students are placed from every branch.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee which we are paying is not a huge amount as comparing other engineering Colleges. Also, we had a number of scholarships to pay back the college and hostel (a little amount)fees. The scholarships like egrantz, mcm ..etc are there.

Campus Life :

The annual fest conducted in our college is named "malhar".It was nice, a lot of programs are there in 3 days. Occasionally college unions conduct different programs like onam celebration, Christmas, ethnic day ..etc. Sports in our college are not at all good but still improving.

Hostel Facilities :

The registration process is not so complicated. The room facilities are not so bad. We depend on food from outside. The quality of food depends. Sometimes food is good and sometimes bad. Our hostel lies within a 2 km circle.

Hostel Fee : INR 4500 per year

NSSCE : AN OVERVIEW

Placement Experience:

The placements in college are quite good, with placement getting better each year. From semester 6 onwards, students get eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visit our college are ALSTOM, TCS, WIPRO, MRF, INFOSYS, SIEMENS, IBM, L&T, COGNUZANT, etc with the list getting long. The highest package offered this year was 12 LPA and the average was 4 LPA. In our senior bath, 70 out of 100 students got placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get a job through campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Students fom third year is eligible for campus placement. But mainly the placement comes for the final year students. Mostly IT companies are offering jobs. Cognizant, L&T, MOZILOR are some of the company in which students have been places. They offers a pay scale of 4 lakhs and 6lakhs per annum. In the batch, a total of 9 students have got placement.

From semester 6, I guess as I'm not sure as I'm still in semester 2. The orientation programs led that way. The Highest package given was 77LPA. My plans after getting a degree are if got campus placement go for it and then save some money to go for Mtech, or else go for MTech with my parents' money and pay it back later or take an education loan.

Placement Experience:

From the end of the 6th semester, students will get placement calls. There is a training and placement cell in our college. The placements are through this. Companies like Zoho, Keyvalue, Open financial technologies, Alpha Ori, Soti and others have visited our colleges and selected many students. The highest packest in this academic year is 11 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. But still, companies are approaching and students are getting offers. Almost all students got placed. My plan after getting my B. Tech is to work in a well-known IT company.

An overview on SCTCE

Placement Experience:

I think from 5th or 6th-semester students are eligible to sit in campus placements many companies including Wipro that I like C are visiting our college and they are providing us with a large number of job opportunities also. The highest package was around 15 lakh per annum I guess. Almost all students from the computer science department are getting placed and quite a number of students from other departments are also getting placed in good companies. I would like to go for higher studies after I get my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I felt it is more apt for me. The course curriculum is already set by the KTU for the courses provided by it. Our faculty are well trained and highly qualified. Exams are conducted and scheduled as instructed by the KTU. The difficulty of the exam is mainly based on the subject. Our faculty help us tackle them easily. They help weak academic students and uplift them along with others.
