Remarks :
The admission process for BSc hons forestry is through the icar entrance examination. Students who have completed science subject such as physics, chemistry and biology during their higher secondary proggram are eligible to write the aforementioned examination. Unfortunately, the exam has been discounted and included in the CUCET examination from 2023 onwards. There is a reservation for minority classes those who are interested in agriculture courses should try for the CUCET examination.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have opted for a BSc hons forestry because I have a passion for forestry-related topics. There are ample faculties in each department and the student ratio in my class is 50:50 as RLBCAU is a central university all faculties are completed their Ph.D. The curriculum is based on a semester basis with a semester in a year each having one midterm examination along with the final semester examination.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As an agricultural university, RLBCAU has very low fees compared to the facility provided. Our fees were 5800 rupees per sem. And we were supported with the NTS scholarship provided by ICAR we receive 3000 as a scholarship per semester.
Campus Life :
If we talk about co-curricular activities happening at RLBCAU, we can say there will be an annual agrifest and agri sports. They also bring students to all India agri fest. Apart from these, there will be a foundation day program, annual kisan mela, Holi festival, X-mass festival, and Diwali festivals. The university has a well-settled common library, and almost all books related to agriculture topics are available there. There is no political organization but there is a student organization named SPARSH, Which works for the well-being of students.
