UIET, CSJMU REVIEW

Remarks :

Admission is done on basis of jee mains score conducted by NTA twice every year now. Before this year, the college takes admission indirectly through UPTU counselling but this year, it started its own counselling. According to this year of data if your rank is below 1.5 lakhs, and you will get admission to CSE and CSE(AI) branches easily after below 2 lakh rank you will get admission to the IT branch. After this around 3 to 3.5 lakh you will get ECE and then mechanical up to 5 lakhs and chemical is like open for all you just have to give jee mains exam. This year some vacant are allotted on basis of the 12th score also but not for CSE or CSE(AI) or IT, only mechanical and chemical branch seats are allotted according to this criteria. The reservation benefits are the same as therein jossa counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview :

CSE is one of the most demanding branches now in engineering courses nowadays. So, I took this course here. Also, there is good scope in this branch as stats tell. The classes are running according to a timetable as given by the college. Usually, the colleges are running from 10 to 5. The student-faculty ratio is 66:1, which is quite good compared to other colleges. All teachers are well qualified and most of them have done their PhD from prestigious universities. Some teachers are not good but you have to manage it because they are not going to teach you every semester, teacher changes after every semester, but sometimes the teachers are the same throughout the year. In every semester, there are two quizzes one mid-semester exam and one end-semester exam. The order is a quiz, mid, quiz, end and the exams are done at regular intervals of time.

Internships Opportunities :

There is no good internship opportunity in my college. Some students take internships by giving some money for a professional experience which is not good whereas some students who are really good get internships in good companies and get paid around 20k per month.

Placement Experience :

Last year, students sits in campus placements in our college. The placements are fine because there was no placement cell in our college three years ago. So it takes time to develop the placement cell and offers good company to give placements. Big companies like Wipro, and Maruti arrived on campus last year. The highest is around 23 lpa last year and the average package is 4-5lpa. 75 per cent cse and software background branch students got placed while others prepare for GATE exam but for lower branches, there is not good placement offers so they prepare for GATE and Sarkari exams.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee for my course is 104200 and for chemical, mechanical, ECE branch it is 84200. There is a scholarship for students whose father is not in a govt job and has a low annual income. The scholarship is around 55k for general students. For other categories, it is increasing in some amount. There is a bank of BOB and BOI on the campus where you can apply for a loan if you want.

Campus Life :

The campus life is fine. There is a fest held this year named tech-fest where H C Verma sir is the chief guest. There is one more fest named as today done this year where too many programs related to tech, ramp walk, web development, sports tournament etc are organized. The ethnic day is organized in which you have to wear a cultural dress like a dhoti kurta and sarees for girls. there are clubs in the college but out of them only one or two are active like the photography club PIXELAR.

The placement cell of our college is very good as it has a great alumni network and it offers placement to students from 3.5 lpa lowest to 55lpa highest with an average of 8.8 LPA. Companies like Reliance, exon mobile, lnt, airtel, cognizant, and Samsung paytm have visited here. Out of eligible students this year 90 percent students have been placed.
