Remarks :
The admission process was quite simple and the staff present there were very helpful. The help desk present at the entrance of the administrative block was helpful and they provided us with the application form and helped me fill it out as well. The college had provided us with a list of all the documents required at the time of admission. Therefore, there were doubts regarding the same. The officials present in the office would then guide us through the process and tell us the details of the fee structure. Overall, I don't see any improvement required in the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The reason why I chose my course is that I've always liked coding and other computer-related things and I saw this as an opportunity where I can excel in my interests and also turn my passion into a profession as well. And speaking about the college, I'm happy I chose this college because, since the time I joined here, I was able to network in a good way with a lot of people. The faculty is great and very helpful in cases of any doubts regarding our projects, be it college-related or not.
Internships Opportunities :
The companies that seek interns vary for each branch. For the IT department, the companies that mainly seek interns are from TechnoPark such as QBurst, Carestack, IBS, etc. There are also other companies that offer internships in Kochi and Bangalore. During the internship, the interns are allowed to work on projects where they can build experience and also adapt to the work environment. The companies also offer a stipend of around 10,000 to 15,000 per month.
Placement Experience :
The campus placements start at the end of the third year for each branch and throughout the final year, various companies arrive for interviews. The major companies which seek freshers from our college are IBM, Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, IBS, QBurst, etc. The average package offered is around 6 to 8 LPA. Prior to these interviews, proper placement training is provided to the students where they compete against each other in various rounds such as GD, HR interview, Aptitude round, etc. The percentage of placements varies according to each branch. The IT department is the one which bags the most number of interviews where around 80% to 90% of the students are offered jobs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The annual tuition fees is around 10k for an year. There are chances of fluctuation semester wise where the number of subjects change. The exam fee for each subject is Rs.200 each for theory papers and Rs.400 each for lab examinations. The college also provides details regarding scholarships and other financial assistance provided by the college. There is no stipend provided by the college whatsoever but the Govt. of Kerala provides grants and stipends to students of the weaker section.
Campus Life :
Although the area of campus is lesser compared to the other colleges, there are no restrictions on the activities conducted whatsoever. We have our very own TechFest named Aagneya which is a three-day program conducted in our college where various celebrities are invited for performing live shows. The fest also is a host to a large number of vendors who have stalls placed in our Flea Market and also there are a number of competitions and other fun programs where you can compete. Speaking about other necessities, the college has a vast library from where you can borrow books on a 14-day basis. There are other activities conducted in our college too such as sports, arts, etc. and also there are several programs conducted during festival seasons.
