MBBS IN MMC

Remarks :

Entry to the college is directly based on the NEET exam score. The NEET exam takes place once every year having a maximum of 720 marks and 180 questions. We need to score above the 50 percentile and to get a seat in this college we need at least 600 marks. And different categories have different marks. Like sc, the category can get a seat with 100 marks lesser than General category students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is of 5.5 years, comprises 4.4 years of studying and and 1 year of mandatory internship. There is a total of 19 subjects that are taught to us in 4.4 years. It needs very hard work and dedication to study. We need to be very punctual with clinical postings also.

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides internship facilities. And it is mandatory to do an internship for one year. They provide 30000 rupees per year and we can learn many things in our internship. Seminars are also conducted in college from time to time.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As this college is a government college, fees here are very nominal. I paid only 500 rupees for the college fees. And for the general category, the fees will be 50000 tuition fees and miscellaneous will be around 10000 fees. I got an SSP scholarship and we get 30000 rupees as a stipend when we work here as an intern.

Campus Life :

Annually there will be many events in the college. In my college, there will be Kreida, a sporting event, Vagus, Samscrithi the biggest event the Mysore Medical College. Students will be having a very much fun throughout the year along with their studies.

Hostel Facilities :

College has its own attached hostel. Our college has 4 hostels, 2 for boys and 2 for girls. Hostel food will be apparently appreciable, but not that very good. Hostel rent along with food will be 5000 rupees per month. Registration for the hostel will be done when we join the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this college because it is a deemed university having a quality education, good infrastructure, and good faculty. The faculty: student ratio is 25:1 ratio. All faculty are post-graduate level. Term exams are done regularly at correct intervals, students had to read regularly to pass, it's not that easy to pass.

We have internals once in around 3 months and we have yearly final exams. The average of the three internals is added to the final marks to declare the results. The exams are of average difficulty. Not too difficult to pass.
