Life at SIMSRC

Remarks :

The eligibility for mbbs is the requirement for qualifying for the NEET examination. The admission process is done through KEA through the process of counseling followed by seat allotment. There will be 3 rounds followed by a mop-up round through which we are allotted the medical seat based on the marks and rank we secure in our NEET examination.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The passion in medicine and serving people in the field of health is what made me choose this profession. For every 20-25 students there is 1 faculty available in our premises. They have an amazing teaching method where along with timely examination conducted there are various assignments and encouragement for research given by them. I feel with what the faculty instruct and teaches, timely self-study it makes easy for students to score good marks.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is provided after 4.5 years of completion of the course which is a compulsory thing to do. And the doctors in the hospital provide assistance to the students and also the clinical posting helps the student to develop skills.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

If we are allowed through KEA =Govt seat then the fee may vary up to 2.5lakh including kea fee and lab fee. However, if the Seat allotted through KEA=Private then the fee is approx 10 lakh. We can apply for ssp scholarship.

Campus Life :

The annual fest conducted is named AURA. Library has a large variety of books which is essential for medical students as the cost of the book is high if one has to buy it. Every year there Sports Day is conducted where teachers, pg, and students compete with one other and make it a healthy competition to participate in.

The teachers here are very talented and they teach about a subject very thoroughly. faculties are qualified as MBBS, MD, and other great degrees. RGUHS conducts a University exam every year. Actually, it's very difficult to pass the exam.

I choose this college because it is a deemed university having a quality education, good infrastructure, and good faculty. The faculty: student ratio is 25:1 ratio. All faculty are post-graduate level. Term exams are done regularly at correct intervals, students had to read regularly to pass, it's not that easy to pass.

The course is of 5.5 years, comprises 4.4 years of studying and and 1 year of mandatory internship. There is a total of 19 subjects that are taught to us in 4.4 years. It needs very hard work and dedication to study. We need to be very punctual with clinical postings also.

We have internals once in around 3 months and we have yearly final exams. The average of the three internals is added to the final marks to declare the results. The exams are of average difficulty. Not too difficult to pass.
