SVIT VASAD

Remarks :

I was a student who took admission based on the vacant quota since I did not appear for GUJCET. But still, the admission cell and the ones who were involved in the admission process were really helpful and made me completely comfortable and supported me throughout the process. For me, my admission was not a big deal. The applications can be filled out online as well as offline. The cutoff for various branches differs as my branch wasn't high. There's preferably no improvement needed for the admission process as it's really easy to get into the college based on your rankings.

Course Curriculum Overview :

So I belong to the Aeronautical department. The class size as per the rules is not really big. And for each subject, we had at least two teachers or more. The faculty is good enough. They all belong from really good backgrounds and are experienced as well. The faculty is also very supportive when it comes to student-faculty relations. They are available for us anytime in need be it any professional issue or personal. There are personal counselors as well for each batch of 20 students. Yes, the language barrier always prevails in the case of students from outer states like me. But the faculty was completely supportive to make us understand things in both the language, i.e. native for Gujarat board students and English and Hindi for other state students. Some of the faculties are interesting while some are good to go with.

Internships Opportunities :

Right now I am in my first year. I have no experience with the internship program. The internships could be paid as well as unpaid, depending upon the student and his or her preference. For our field there's Vartix Aerospace, the startup settled up on the campus itself. The person handling it is an alumni of svit. So students from my field have a complete opportunity to take up internships there and learn new things.

Placement Experience :

You can avail of placements during your last semesters. Not big but yes a valid amount of placements are been provided to the students based on their knowledge. The average packages range from 6 lakhs and above.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Since I belong to a vacant quota, I did not get any scholarship but there are different scholarships for different types of students. Also, the fee structure is not expensive, it's completely moderate and such that each type of person can avail to. There are a few other things that the student needs to pay for during his / her graduation duration, which I believe is taken by any student.

Campus Life :

The classrooms are big enough as well as have projectors in them for teaching. The campus area is really big also there are different grounds available for different sports. But yes the place where the college is situated is not good. No doubt it's safe but the area around is not developed like it's covered with woods all around three of its sides. There are various clubs, including NSS, and will shortly be starting with NCC. There is this very big tech event taking place at the college, ie. Prakash and cultural events like Malhaar. There is also an annual sports meet arranged every year, filled with all joys and fun. There are regular hackathons and different competitions taking place in the college.

Based on some of the senior's experiences and information many freshers have worked with some of the top MNCs like Google, Cisco, TCS, and many more. Many companies visit the campus for placement with a good annual package based on the skills of an individual. The highest package offered until now is 20LPA and the minimum is 7LPA for a fresher. From the 6th semester, students become eligible for placement in charusat. There are many companies that visited & offered packages. Like byju's, Amazon, Google, Microsoft etc. The average package of charusat is 650000-700000. Last year highest package was around 20LPA-25LPA and the lowest package was around 3LPA-4LPA. The placement percentage was between 75-85% last year. After getting the degree I look forward to starting my own startup business.
