4 years at a Glimpse

Remarks :

Admission takes place on the basis of two exams comedk and kcet. Students who completed their 12th board from Karnataka can only opt for kcet. Comedk is open for all. Comedk is quite tough as compared to kcet. There are also management quotas available for which they charge a lot of tution fees which is of course not worth it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college is affiliated with VTU. They still follow the old pattern. The syllabus is very outdated and lengthy. There are two sems per year and total 8 sems. In each sem there are three internal exams and two lab exams. You have to pass in all the exams. Apart from these you have to submit assignment and lab records also and for normal lab classes also you have to prepare and come. Facilities of ise branch are chill but for cse faculties are very strict. They will always keep you busy in various activities . You will not get personal time to develop your skills. For every class the strength is not more than 60 . The professors are mostly assistant or associate professors. Hods have some higher degrees. The exams are easy but you have to mug up the things to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

You will start getting internships from 3rd year only. There are a lot of students who are working on various projects. And the important thing is teachers encourage you a lot for such things. There is no pressure from the professor to attend the lectures and all. The companies recently visited are Accenture, Oracle, IBM, JP Morgan, Delloite, cred, etc. They provide a variable stipend from 10k per month to 30k per month. There are some extraordinary students who applied off campus also and are getting better deals.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The overall tution fee for comedk students is 2,21,000 for one year and for kcet it's 90000. Apart from these they will charge the semester fees per semester about 1400 and hostel fees is 95000 annually. There are certain scholarship programs but since i am in second year so i have no idea about them yet.

Campus Life :

There are a lot of clubs. Aura is a fashion club that is the most active club in the college. They have performed in various events and won many competitions. The second is actkrit which is a drama club. They keep on continuously organizing events and recently they won a show at NIT SURATKAL. There are other clubs also like dhwani for music, cybotrox for robotics, and RSC which is a sports club. After these, there is a coding club named BIGO. The demand for this club is maximum. You have to be extraordinary for getting into this club. There are auditions every year for being a part of clubs. And all the branch websites are maintained by students of a particular branch only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to be an engineer that's why I chose this course. Student 21 and teachers 12 it's the ratio. Teachers are very well qualified but lack the experience that's why teachers join our college to get some experience The teaching is good and smart classes are available. Sem exams are conducted after every 4 months and 3 internals are conducted. Its somewhat difficult to pass the exams, If you study a bit you can pass them.
