a) School of Mathematics and Statistics

A final-year dissertation and the opportunity to study across a broad range of mathematical topics. Students can expect to have the opportunity to engage with a number of specialist topics including for example Abstract Analysis, Fluid Dynamics, Group Theory, Solar Theory, Statistics in Practice, Statistical Inference and the History of Mathematics.

b) School of Physics and Astronomy

A choice of entry points (level one or level two). Mathematical and experimental skills are developed. Students can expect to have the opportunity to engage with a number of specialist topics including for example quantum physics, optoelectronics, nuclear and particle physics.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students should have a high school degree from the recognized institution.
  • Students can have a diploma with a minimum of 45 credits at Level 3 at Distinction and Merit.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): 36 (HL 6,5,5) to 38 (HL 6,6,6 plus SL 6,6,6).
  • Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and PTE to get admission to this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Indian School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, Higher School Certificate, Higher Secondary Certificate, All India Senior School Certificate, and Pre-University course: (awarded on completion of Standard XII) candidates are expected to obtain a minimum average of 90% (with 90% or higher in any prerequisite subjects) in Standard XII examinations, or A1-A2 if students are taking examinations used by Central Boards.
