- When the university was started it had only 3 buildings, 230 students and 28 staff (October 1963).
- The University of York Campus consists of nine colleges, more than 30 research centers and academic departments.
- Now the campus is about 500 acres (200 hectares).

I loved the atmosphere and general buzz of the uni, as well as it having a huge investment in the chemistry department with state of the art equipment and excellence for teaching and student support. The university as a whole has a great reputation for being a place that provides academically stimulating courses and tutoring that is internationally recognised as well as being an environment that is fun and that allows you to build yourself as a person through societies and sport as well as expanding your academic knowledge.
