Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under an Act in 2005. The University is recognised by UGC. SVVU was started in 1995 to strengthen education research and services in the fields of Veterinary Science, Dairy Technology and Fishery Science in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have a B.V.Sc. & AH Degree with a minimum OGPA of 6 for general category and 5 for SC/ST/PH category, out of a score of 10 for general category; or 2.50 and 2.00 respectively out of a score of 4; or 60% marks and 55% marks respectively in traditional system.

Age: You should not be more than 40 years of age as on July 1st.

Admission Process

You will be selected on the basis of the following weightage:-

  • Previous academic record of Graduation- 30%
  • PG Entrance Test – 70%

The Entrance Test shall be comprehensive covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the concerned Bachelor’s degree requirements. The paper will contain 200 multiple choice type questions. Each question will have four options and one correct answer.

You will have to score a minimum of 40% marks in case you belong to the general category. There is no minimum prescribed score for SC/ST/PH category. However, this weightage will be relaxed by a maximum of 5 marks on production of certificates for achievement in NCC/NSS/Sports/Games/Culture/Literary activities at International level (3 marks), National level (2 marks) or Inter-University level (1 mark). 

How To Apply?

  • You should download the Application form from the university website.
  • Take a print out of the Form.
  • You must then fill the Application Form with the required personal and educational details in your own handwriting.
  • You must also affix a recent passport size coloured photograph in the space provided.

Application Fee: You should pay the fee of INR 1200/- in case of general category and INR 600/- in case of SC/ST/PH drawn on any nationalized bank favouring Comptroller, SVVU, payable at Tirupati.

Enclosures: You should attach the following documents:

  • Demand Draft
  • Mark sheets of 10th, 12th and graduation
  • Degree Certificate
  • Proof of date of birth
  • Caste certificate, if applicable
  • Physical disability certificate, if applicable
