Assam Down Town University. Guwahati offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree as a postgraduate course in various specializations. The course aims to enrich and groom the students for entrepreneurial initiatives. The course curriculum of MBA programme includes industrial visits, projects, internships, group discussions, audio-visual presentations, case studies, industry oriented interviews and various other activities to provide the students a beautiful blend of theoretical concepts and practical exposure. It is a full-time course with a duration of two academic years.
- The MBA programme includes a total of six specializations namely Healthcare Management , Marketing, Human Resources Management, Financial Management, Banking and Insurance and Systems Management. The curriculum of the course spans over four semesters.
- The University also offers MBA Degree under the Distance Education in five specializations namely IT Management, Finance Management, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management and Operations Management.
- The minimum criteria to apply for MBA programme at ADTU, Guwahati is a Bachelor‘s Degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for Reserved categories).
- For the selection process, the candidates would be shortlisted on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination, i.e. marks in the Bachelor’s degree. The shortlisted candidates then have to appear for Group Discussion/Personal Interview. Candidates who have a valid score in Management Aptitude Test (MAT) are also eligible for admission.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Regular Entry - For Admission to First Year (I Semester) :The candidate must have a Bachelor‘s Degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. There is a relaxation of 5% for the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/MOBC).
- Lateral Entry - For Direct Admission to Second Year (III Semester)
- Graduation in any stream with PG Diploma in management from a recognized university or minimum 3 years industrial experience.
- The candidates with M.Com/MBE/MBA/MFC/MMT degree from UGC/AICTE recognized institution are also eligible for lateral entry to the MBA programme at ADTU, Guwahati.
Admission Guidelines:
For admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) course at Assam Down Town University, every candidate needs to satisfy the academic eligibility criteria and must qualify the selection criterion laid by the university.
Admission to the programme shall be made merit in the qualifying examination, i.e. marks in the Bachelor’s degree followed by a group discussion/Personal Interview at the college. The mode of application to the course is both Online and Offline.

Examination Pattern:
Each course shall be of 100 marks. For evaluation, the overall structure of the distribution of marks in a course shall be such that 30 marks are allotted to various assessments during the semester, while 70 marks shall be allotted for the end semester examinations.
