Davangere University is one of the well-known universities located in Davangere, Karnataka. It has been recognized by the University Grant Commission(UGC). Established on August 18, 2009, by the Government of Karnataka
Davangere University has 4 departments- Arts, science & technology, commerce&management and education. The university has 116 colleges affiliated to it with one constituent college and two autonomous college offering graduate and posts graduate courses. It offers 23Post graduation courses of studies and Research courses on its main campus.

- For the admissions to all Post graduation courses, both the marks obtained in theentrance test and aggregate marks obtained in the relevant the subject(s) at qualifying degree examination will be considered.
- The candidates will be shortlisted for admissions on the basis of the score in the entrance exam. The university admits 50 students (merit and open merit) under each PG course.
- Reservation of seats for special categories is also available as per government orders.

Davangere University PG Admission 2023
The university offers various PG courses with multiple specializations in MA and M.Sc. Admissions to M.A and M.Sc are based up on the rank of the candidates in the All India entrance exam conducted by the university itself and aggregate marks obtained in relevant subjects of graduation.
Candidates who have passed with 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST/Category-1 candidates) in their three/four-year degree examination of this or any other university shall be eligible for admission. All the eligible candidates can apply through offline mode. Application forms are available on the university campus and at the university’s official web portal.

- Selection of the candidate is done by calculating 50% of the marks obtained by the candidate in theentrance test and rest 50% of the aggregate marks obtained in the relevant subjects at qualifying degree examination.
- Special preference in thereservation will be given toKannad medium(KM) students (5% of total intake), all students of Karnataka state’s women universities while allocating the seats to reserved categories.
Davangere University MBA Admission 2023
Admissions to MBA are based on the score in national or state level Management entrance exam Common management admission test/ Karnataka examination authority (CMAT/ KEA). Candidates who score 45% marks in Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for the course.
For the MBA program, seats will be filled through Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). The vacant seats after CMAT counseling will be filled through the entrance exam conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority.

Davangere University M.Phil.& Ph.D. Admission 2023
Davangere University offers Research courses under 6 disciplines. Candidates who have Master’s degree with 50% aggregate marks can apply for admissions. Admissions to the course are based on entrance test conducted by the university.
The entrance test will be offline. Questions will be based on the PG subjects for each course, as mentioned in the eligibility criteria. The duration for M.Phil.the course is for minimum 1 year and Ph.D. for minimum 2 years.
Application forms are available on the university campus. Forms can also be downloaded from the official web portal of the university.

- Candidates, who have passed NET / UGC-CSIR or are JRF and Project fellows, need not appear for the entrance exam.
- Merit list of candidates will be based upon their score in the qualifying exam and their academic performance during the qualifying degree.
Application Process 2023
The application forms for the college will be filled through offline mode. The forms can be obtained from the university office or can be downloaded from the official website of the university.
Duly filled-in applications have to be submitted to the respective departments in person or through post/ courier. The candidates can pay the fees through Demand Draft or Bank Challan.
The DD has to be issued in favor of “Finance Officer, Shivagangotri payable at Davangere”.
Bank Challan has to be paid at “State bank of Mysore, A/C No. 64050447113 and IFSC Code SBMY0040869”.
Note: Students seeking admission under any reserved category have to submit the copy of the required documents along with the application form.
Reservation Criteria 2022
For general merit, 50% of the intake shall be earmarked for the students irrespective of the category to which they belong to and rest 50% is for the reserved categories.
