Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadeveraya University (VSKU) accepts application form from the various Ph.D. and M.Phil. courses. VSKU conducts an entrance test known as 'SKURESCET' to determine the candidates to be chosen for the research courses. The M.Phil Degree is available as a Full-Time course only, whereas Ph.D. courses are available for Full-Time, as well as Part-Time courses. The University has a long history and tradition of teaching and research. The University has total of 28 departments, which provide various courses which provide a vast field of research. Admission Process

Entrance Test: The University conducts the 'SRI KRISHNADEVARAYA UNIVERSITY RESEARCH COMMON ENTRANCE TEST'(SKURESCET) and chooses the students for their research courses based on the rank achieved in the test. The test consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions of one mark each. The test will be of 90 minutes The test will be conducted in S. K. University, Ananthapuram. The selection will be based on the rank obtained in the entrance test, followed by an interview.

For Full-Time courses, the admission is not granted to the candidates who are either employed or enrolled in any other full-time course. For Part-Time courses, 85% seats are reserved for local students, who have been employed for at least 4 years in the University area, out of a total of 7 years of service. Candidates possessing M.E., M. Tech., M.D. (Medical), M. Pharm are eligible to register for Ph.D. in interdisciplinary areas directly without an Entrance Test. Their selection will be based on the marks in their qualifying exam, and an interview.

Fees: The annual fee of Ph.D. programs is  Rs 22,500/- (Rs.12,500/- for SC/ST/handicapped) for science and technology courses.

The annual fee for Arts/Social Science/Commerce and Management courses, the fee is Rs.20,000/- (Rs.10,600 for SC/ST/handicapped) For Extramural Research, candidates have to pay Rs.30,000/- apart from the annual fee.

How to Apply?

  • Candidates can apply online from VSKU website.
  • The cost of registration is INR 100/- which can be paid online.
  • The application is separate for M.phil. and Ph.D. courses.
  • The Hall Ticket will be available on the website 10 days before the date of test. The printout of the hall ticket is mandatory to present during the entrance test.

Note: A duplicate Hall Ticket can be obtained from office of the Convener, SKURESCET or the Chief Superintendent of the Examination Centre by submitting a proof of having submitted the online form along with an attested passport size photograph and a demand draft for INR 100/- drawn in favor of Convener, 'SKURESCET'
