CCSU offers a 2-year full-time MA program in 9 subjects. These specializations include Economics, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology, Urdu. Admission to the MA program at CCSU is granted on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the under-graduation course of the same subject. CCSU MA admission 2022 application forms are yet to be released by the university. 

CCSU MA Eligibility Criteria

Each course includes different eligibility criteria. Thus the eligibility for each course has been mentioned below.

English The candidate willing to do MA (English) must have completed a bachelor's degree ( BA English) with a minimum 50% aggregate marks, and 50% in the intermediate exam. Or the candidate must possess a second class bachelor’s degree with a min 50% aggregate and second division in the intermediate exam.
Hindi The candidate must have 50% in each of the Bachelor’s degree and intermediate examination separately.
Urdu The candidate must have a bachelor's degree with Urdu as one of the main subjects.
MJMC The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline however the preferred degree is B.J.M.C with 45% marks for general and OBC category.
Economics For admission to the MA economics course, a candidate must have a bachelor's degree- BA or BSc with mathematics as one of the main subjects. Apart from that, students who have completed BBA/ B.Com/ BCA degree are also eligible.
History & Political Science A candidate having a bachelor's degree with a minimum 50% marks in any discipline is eligible
Public Administration A bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50% marks is the eligibility criteria
Psychology A candidate must have a bachelor's degree in psychology (B.A Psychology) with 50% aggregate marks.
Sociology Candidates must have completed an under-graduation in BBA or BSc with a minimum 50% aggregate.
Sanskrit A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with Sanskrit as the main subject.

CCSU MA Admission Guidelines

The eligible candidates can take admission for the corresponding course. The MA course does not require any entrance exam for admission.

The selection is done based on merit. The marks considered to prepare the merit list are the aggregate marks in UG course and/ or the marks in the specific subject corresponding to the MA subject.

Steps for admission

  • Fill the application form available on the college website-www.ccsuniversity.ac.in
  • Enter the correct personal details and educational qualifications. Also mention the marks acquired in the bachelor's degree.
  • Attest the documents mentioned, including the Caste certificate if you have one.
  • Submit the application form
  • Merit list will be declared on the online portal.
  • Selected candidates have to visit the college for document verification
  • Once the documents are verified, and the admission is confirmed, pay the first semester fees and join the college on the given date.

Ques. What are the facilities provided to CCS University MA students?

Ans. The college is equipped with classrooms having projectors, led screens, laboratories, computer labs, etc. The library is stacked with books and journals. Thus each department has the necessary equipment required to impart the necessary knowledge.

Ques. Is there a reservation system for CCS University MA program?

Ans. 21%, 2% and 27% seats in all courses are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC categories, respectively. Apart from the caste reservation, 20% seats are reserved for girls.

Ques. On what basis is the Merit rank decided for CCS University MA program?

Ans. Based on marks in the Under-graduate course apart from that, weightage is given to the following students
  • A weightage of 4% will be added to the students who have completed under graduation from CCS university.
  • A weightage of 2% will be added to the students whose parents are employees of CCS University.
  • A weightage of 4% will be added to students who have participated in the national level Olympiad examinations or have been a part of any national/ state/ inter-college competition.

Ans. Usually, the admission forms are released in June but due to the pandemic, there was a delay in things. Further notification will be provided on the official website of the college.
