Likes
- I chose this course due to my interest in research, as IITs are the best platform for research and higher studies.
- For example, Google, Apple, Wipro, Samsung, Sanjay Goenka, Adani, Reliance, Redmi, and all entrepreneurs who require the best craftsmen come here.
- Again, since the college is one of the best colleges, there are a lot of job opportunities for a student who is hardworking and studies throughout the four years of the course.
- Good scholarships are provided by the Government of India for students to study in institutes.
- Sports: Its the best place for sports as IIT Kanpur has an over 1000-acre campus. Cricket, football, hockey, squash, tennis, swimming pool, indoor badminton, pool, and whatnot can be named.
- The hostel conditions are very good and timely renovated, so as to maintain a good environment for the students to study.
- Because the staff at Bombay IIT were well-known and the best in their field, my ambition was to gain admission to an IIT.
Dislike
- Bad old circumstances lead to bad decisions, but my decision is to make a difference in the world. This college is a good place for it as it has all the facilities, and I am not able to find any bad points.
- Internship for PG, so I do not have any experience. As per institute rules, internships are only for UG students. I am sorry to say that I do not have any self-ideas.
- There are several scholarships available for poor students with an annual family income of less than 450,000 INR.
- College bad remarks are that the academic workload is very high and the grading policy is comparatively very bad compared to other institutions.

Placement Experience:
Placements at IIT Kanpur are solely the reason why it's called one of the best institutes in the world. The highest package is around 4 crores. An average package is about 22 LPA. Almost 960 out of 1000 people get employed every year.
Remarks:
You need to crack the JEE advanced examination within the range required for IIT Kanpur. Admission is done through JOSSA counseling which demands you to pay 3000 so as to hold a seat for you in advance.
Placement Experience:
We get internship offers from 2nd year and probably some get placed there and most of the placement process starts in 4th year. Packagers were great I think the average was around 25 lakhs for CSE last year.
Remarks:
Admission is done through the jossa counseling process. It is so cool. After clearing the JEE advanced exam we need to apply for jossa counseling and we get a seat in the college by the process. SC and st students get reservation benefits.
Placement Experience:
The placements here were excellent. Almost every student here gets a placement in the campus placements. Microsoft, Google, Apple, and so many other companies come to offer internships and the average package is around 20 lakhs.

The admission process was so cool. After completion of the advanced exam, You have to select your prior colleges in order in jossa counseling, After 7 rounds you will get your confirmed college then you get further updates from your college.

12th or after 12 years.. with 75% marks minimum requirements with physics chemistry and maths subjects. you can find application forms on the Official website of the national testing agency Schedule caste reservation for backward students who can achieve self-dreams. Yes.. need to remove the 75% minimum criteria because many of the students I see have the potential for the Crack jee exam but in up board they are not getting 75% marks due to somewhat accident in life.. and they missed the chance for jee advance

From the 6 semesters, the students became eligible for the placement still they have to complete all 8 semesters but before that, they can apply for the placement can get the pre-placement offer from the companies.

I cleared JEE Advanced rank with OBC rank 1871. JEE advance comes after JEE mains and is one of the toughest exams in the world. The students here are the best in the country and are one of the best minds worldwide The opportunity here is very good

you can find the application form on the website jeemain.nic.in and the application fee is around 650rs for general and obc 325 rs sc and st students eligibility criteria to apply for jee main exam you qualified 12th with 70 per cent. first, you qualify jeemain after that you are shortlisted for jee advanced and when you qualify to jee advanced with a good rank you easily get admission in iitk
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum of IIT Kanpur is a bit tough. A semester usually ends in 4 months and has 5-6 subjects. Most of the subjects in 1st year are Institute Compulsory courses which are taught to students of every batch. Department course starts from 2nd year.
Remarks:
You have to clear JEE advanced and also pass 12th with a minimum of 75% marks with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects. The cutoff for Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur is usually around 6000 rank.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placement at the start of 4th yr after 6th semester though they would have to join the company at the end of 4th year. There are around 230 companies visited this yr and almost 90% of the total students got placed. So the highest package was 4.3 crore which is the highest ever in all IITs. The average package was around 20 lakhs. My plan is to join a consulting company and look for a future there. Though I am exploring more and I can change it if I find some other field more interesting.
Remarks:
The admission process was straight and simple. You have to qualify entrance test to jee main followed by jee advance . Eligibility to appear in jee main is either you will be giving your 12th boards exam the same year or you had given it a year before . Eligibility to appear in jee advance is you should be among the top 250000 students in jee main. As NTA conducts jee main, you will find the application form on NTA official website and I am from obc-ncl category and I took reservation benefits to get a better branch in a better college at my rank. As jee main exam is conducted all over India at a high level, it is the responsibility of the agency to conduct exams smoothly so that no student underperforms because of an issue of yours.
Placement Experience:
According to media, the best engineering placements this year were from IIT Kanpur. 74 international offers were made and 33 people got packages above 1 crore and the highest domestic package was 1.9 crores.
Remarks:
The admission to IIt Kanpur was done through the Joint entrance examination (JEE advanced). The maximum number of attempts of jee advanced are two and jee advanced exam takes place every year in the month of june-july.
