A Comprehensive Review of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sri City

Campus Life:

The Grand Annual Techno cultural fest is "Abhisarga" held around the month of March or April. Every course of a number of copies is almost available in the library. Classrooms have 2 projectors, a whiteboard, Fans and a Central AC facility.

Life of a student in IIIT Sricity

Hostel Facilities:

Our college provides on-campus accommodation facilities for the students. It has separate hostels for boys and girls, which are well furnished and equipped with all necessary amenities such as wifi-connectivity, 24/7 security, laundry facilities, and a mess that serves nutritious and hygienic food.

Hostel Fee : INR 80000 per year

Campus Life:

Apart from academics, IIITS has a great and vibrant campus life with a range of activities and opportunities for exploring their interests, socialising with peers and devlop new skills. There are many clubs like (Upsc, coding, Gdsc Iot, dance, music, film, matrix etc) .The insitute has student council that organizes various events and activities for the student community. Our college also hosts various cultural and social events throughout the sem ,such as festivals, sports tournament, and cultural shows, which provides opportunities for students to showcase their talents and engage with their peers.ABHISARGA is the annual techno -Cultural fest. It also provides a range of amenities that cater to the need of its student ,faculty anf staff which ensures a comfortable and conductive environment for learning research and personal growth.

chair, table and Tamara and bed are provided in hostels every one should stay in a hostel hostel is provided by the college fee for the sem is 20k and the mess fee will be taken separately 20k for the sem food will be fine

Ques. How is life at IIIT Sri City, apart from academics? How are its campus and hostel life?

You will definitely have a great time in Sri City and probably not feel like going back home after the amazing four years you will spend here. One of my friends has experienced the amazing campus life. He got really attached to this place. You will miss your friends and having fun at 3 am in the morning. The IFMR canteen is one place where you will eat every possible thing on the menu and not attend classes. You will also end up taking a number of spontaneous trips. Even the small nitty-gritty like not being able to stay awake during class, running around for attendance will become so ingrained in your daily life that you will end up missing them. The teachers here are more like friends instead of professors. You will also miss the happiness of getting an unexpected holiday. Your hostel room is going to be a place of great memories. It will witness breakups, patch-ups, and you at your best and worse. Sri City and the college will become your second home. The early morning sunrises, evening strolls around the campus as well as the petrichor of the rain right after the blistering summer in May are things you will come to appreciate. While you might enter as a frightened fresher, you will be leaving as an experienced graduate. You will learn to become independent and will have gone through some of life’s toughest lessons. In other words, you will come to love this place so much, you will definitely have tears in your eyes as you leave from here on your last day. The hostel life at IIIT Sri City is very fun and interesting in its own way. Though the city has become a business hub with more than 185 companies in the vicinity, the campus of IIIT Sri City is located in an almost isolated area. There are three boys hostels and one girls hostel in the campus. Here are some of the perks you would enjoy while staying at the hostel – The campus is soothing, especially the evening walks. Being close to the beautiful Pulicat Lake, the sea breezes are simply awesome. A stroll through the night is simply refreshing. Playing your favorite sports at night is fun as well. Some students even enjoy playing basketball at 2 AM in the night. The best thing about hostel life are its group discussions. You will spend countless sleepless nights among your friends just chatting in the small rooms. Whenever you get bored of the regular mess food, you have many small and big restaurants to satisfy your appetite. Swati restaurant, Annapurna, Sunny, New City, Madras Café are some of the best places to hang out with your friends. And finally the random fun at hostels. You never know from where and when this might pop up, but this is the best thing about living at a hostel. The four years you will stay at your hostel, you will make more friends and memories than up until your life. Of course there are some for whom a hostel may seem more like a jail, not getting out of their rooms. But these are few and you should definitely not want yourself to be among them. Ques. How many people are allotted in a hostel room at IIIT Sri City?

My cousin studied at IIT Sri City and he had a hostel room for himself. The hostel life seemed to be very dull and uneventful however the facilities were on point. He was in the twin sharing boys hostel where summers were difficult to pass as it was non AC. The hostels allowed students to bring home coolers, after checking with the authorities. The washrooms were common as well, so be prepared for long queues. The girls’ hostel has 2 BHK rooms which are non-furnished which means you have to bring your own stuff in accordance with the rules for or against items to be kept in a room. 7 girls can easily stay in these 2 BHK flats while 3 BHK are non-AC and 9 students can live there. Even though the rooms are not fully furnished, each student will still be given a table and a chair to study....Read more
