GNA University provides scholarship grants to meritorious students to enable them to complete a degree / diploma / certificate program in the field or discipline of their choice. GNA University Grantees are selected on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis. Students who are awarded scholarships based on academic achievement are expected to perform at a worthy academic level and maintain good disciplinary standing and conduct in the University. They are the role models for the student community. These scholarships will be automatically renewed, provided that the student meets the retention criteria stated hereunder.

The University encourages meritorious students to strive for high scholastic achievement. The scholarship retention criteria for students enrolled at the University is detailed below. The criteria have been developed keeping the above intent and philosophy in mind. Thus, for example, students who lose their scholarships because of unsatisfactory academic standing will have their scholarships automatically reinstated at the start of the next semester if they achieve 6.5 or above SGPA on 10 point scale.

Meritorious Students Scholarships

Below are criteria, terms and conditions that a student has to satisfy in order to receive the scholarship. The scholarships consist of Waiver in Tuition Fees:

Girl Child Scholarship

15% of tuition fee reduction for single girl child or only girl siblings.

Corporate Employee Scholarship

5% of tuition fee reduction for corporate employees and 7% of tuition fee reduction for GU employees for first semester only.

Sibling Scholarships

5% of tuition fee reduction for siblings enrolling at GNA University.

Accordingly, the students will continue getting scholarships subject to all the following specific terms and conditions:

  1. Scholarships are awarded only for the percentage mentioned in the student’s admission letter and continuation of the scholarship will be reviewed on an annual basis.
  2. The student has to score a minimum of 6.5 GPA at the end of each academic year in order to retain the scholarship.
  3. If the student brings their GPA to over 6.5 at the end of any annual basis, the scholarship will be automatically reinstated for the subsequent semester subject to other conditions being met. The number of chances for reinstitution of scholarship is not limited within the valid period.
  4. If a student gets reappear in the semester examination, his / her scholarship will be discontinued from the next academic session.
  5. Average attendance in a given semester (across all courses) should be at least 80%. If any student’s average annual attendance falls below 80%, the scholarship will be revoked. Scholarship will be reinstated at the end of any academic year where the student’s average annual attendance is at least 80%.
  6. Scholarship students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline / unfair means cases. If there are any disciplinary proceedings against him/ her for any reason whatsoever, he/she will lose the scholarship from the immediate effect for all the rest of the semesters and there will be no reinstatement. There is no provision for retaining/regaining the scholarship if a student is in a discipline case and this condition overrides any other condition.
  7. In case a student withdraws at any point from the degree program, whichever semester that may be in and for whatever reason, the student will be liable to return to GNA University the entire scholarship/stipend awarded to him/her from the time they joined the University.
  8. Failure to satisfy any one of the above terms and conditions will result in discontinuation of scholarship to a student. The decision of the management will be final and binding for all and in all cases.

All the students who will avail Post Matric Scholarship are expected to adhere to the following:

  • They are required to maintain 80% attendance.
  • They have to achieve SGPA of 6.5
  • They should pass in all the examinations held for all the courses in all the semesters.
  • Students are expected to maintain discipline at all the time during their stay in the campus.

NOTE:

All the students are required to sign the undertaking containing terms and conditions of scholarship at the time of admission.
