Eligibility Criteria
For being eligible for M.Sc. Microbiology course, candidate must have a B.Sc. degree from a recognized university or equivalent, with two subjects’ combination of home science, human genetics, nutrition and dietetics, botany, zoology, biochemistry, biotechnology, plant protection, microbiology, dairy sciences, agriculture and horticulture, home science, fisheries and public health from any recognized university or equivalent.
Most of the institutions have entrance exams as admission mode. Hence, the students who have appeared in final year examination of under-graduation and await the result are allowed to apply for M.Sc. Microbiology course by such institutions.
Course Details
SKUAST offers full-time masters’ courses for a duration of 2 years in M.Sc. in 4 specializations, an M.V.Sc. in 16 specializations, M.Tech in 2 specializations, and M.Sc.(Allied Science and Agriculture) in 13 specializations.

- Candidates should not be less than 19 years of age as of December 31.
- Final year students of the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for admissions to the college.
- The selection of the candidates is based on the score of the applicant in the Common Entrance Test conducted by SKUAST, Jammu, or ICAR for admission against free seats and self-financing seats(State Domicile).
