Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must complete a bachelor's degree or the recognized equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Students hold a satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale.
  • A strong quantitative background including linear algebra, multivariate calculus, differential equations, numerical analysis, and advanced statistics and probability is required.
  • The submission of either GMAT or GRE scores is required for this program but there is no minimum acceptable score.

Work Experience:

  • Students have experience with statistical and econometric applications. (Examples: Sas, Gauss, RATS, S-Plus, and Garch.)
  • Students also hold experience with mathematical tools. (Examples: MatLab, Mathematica, or MathCad.)

English Language proficiency:

  • All students from countries or political entities in which the official language is not English are required to submit official evidence of English language proficiency.
  • This applies to students from Bangladesh, Burma, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Latin America, the Middle East, the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, most European countries, and Quebec (Canada).

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
