More credits/focus assigned to research. At least a third of the total credits for graduation were assigned for research which was my primary area of interest.
Course Curriculum :
The course is very much updated according to the current industrial practices. There are many courses which involves projects which gets students a taste of industrial exposure.
Exams :
GRE, IELTS/TOEFL. I did not give the GRE as it was not a requirement when I applied for Fall 2021. I scored a 8 band overall in IELTS.
Placement :
There is a portal called Handshake specifically for Cornell students where we cand directly talk with recruiters which speeds up the process. Research is also excellent with outstanding computational and experimental facilities.
Internship :
I haven't opted for any internship yet
Fees :
$29,000 per year.
Scholarship :
J.N. TATA Scholarship
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio for graduate classes are 1:10. They are well versed with the content and very much approachable. There are two professors whose teaching impacted me. Professor Thomas Avedisian and Professor Edwin Cowen.
Campus Life :
Good news for students is that there is Wifi everywhere. Many sports clubs are there with me myself being a part of the badminton team. Research infrastructure is too good particularly the DeFrees hydraulic laboratory where I have conducted experiments.
Hostel :
I stay in an apartment. Housing is but difficult to find as Ithaca is far away from the city. But if one plans in advance it shouldn't be a problem.
