Cornell MEng ECE

Program ranked in top 10 in the US. Ivy league school. Shorter duration of masters program. Best Engineering school in the Ivy league.

Course Curriculum :

The courses were abundant and available in all fields. I felt a few more courses could be added for VLSI. The courses give you an in-depth understanding of the concepts.

Exams :

GRE 160V and 168Q 2019 TOEFL 113. 2019 I dont have any idea about the minimum score.

Placement :

There are career fairs and a lot of fortune 500 companies visit. Students from Cornell are placed with great packages. The median salary for the ECE department is $108000.

Internship :

No

Fees :

33000 USD per semester

Scholarship :

No

Faculty :

The faculty all mostly extremely acclaimed and know names of the field with thousands of citations. Most of the faculty are approachable especially when you have taken their course or worked with them. Professor Amit Lal was my advisor and he helped me immensely.

Campus Life :

Campus life is decent, but since I planned to graduate in 1 year I did not explore all the options. There are various activities and events happening on campus regularly and if someone wants to engage in such activities you will find plenty of opportunities.

Hostel :

I was living off campus. Although hardly 500 meters from the campus. I had a room mate and we rented a 2 bed room apartment for $1295. Plus $55 for wifi and ~$30 for gas.
