Campus Life:

The campus is very modern with all the expected facilities, including good bus transport, wifi and fast food restaurants on campus

Hostel:

Being in Atlanta, the accommodation is relatively expensive compared to most college towns. I stay in an apartment off campus and pay $1100 per month including all living expenses.

Hostel:

On-campus and off-campus accommodations are available. On-campus is expensive but safe, off-campus is cheaper but less secure and travel costs increase. Grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, etc. available nearby and affordable. I stay 1.5 km away from campus in a student residence with 2 roommates.

Good teachers and professors, a respected university, great recruiting history, a good place to learn, not too bad weather conditions, interesting research, public university - so moderate tuition fees.

Hostel:

I have been living in Atlanta since 2019. I started school at GT in 2020 so I already had an apartment here, which I really like. Its in a safe neighborhood and the rent is relatively cheap. I think there is also on-campus housing but I did not look into it. I have a roommate.

GT is a big name, especially in the south. The department is relatively new, extremely knowledgeable, really cohesive and extremely supportive. They gave me the best funding.

Hostel:

I live off-campus in an apartment complex of 2 bedrooms and 1 living room with 3 people which is located about 2 miles from the campus. I pay a total of 700$ including utilities for this apartment which is quite basic in Atlanta.

The key governing factor for my selection of Gatech was the research work pursued by my advisor and the overall research culture in the college. Other secondary reasons were overall university ranking, ranking in the particular department/area I plan to study, location in terms of city vs university town etc.

Hostel:

No, I live off campus. I lived on campus freshman year, it was okay, people were nice but the communal bathrooms were horrible, and the rooms are pretty small for 2 people to share. Not very comfortable."

Industrial Design is ranked number 1 at Georgia Tech. They have an amazing invention studio and faculty.
